To repeat what Jarrod Kimber said, this pitch is looking much better than yesterday. Ball is coming onto the bat much faster, so we will see higher scoring rates than India's first innings.

We just didn't capitalise on this as much as we should have.

That being said, could go anywhere. Kimber rebuffed that last innings would be bad, just unknown how this pitch will develop. Only way it gets bad for us is if the seam movement stops now, and then the pitch dries out completely and cracks form - but this is still pretty unlikely, based on there was too much moisture on the pitch in day 1.

Still, the big unknown is what is happening with Bumrah. If he's not around for the last innings, we might just have a chance of recovering this.

Where did you hear Kimber?

2-1 heading into this test and no one had the idea to prepare a road to guarantee the series win and our place in the WTC?

If they had done that there's be plenty of people on here complaining about how the Sydney Test is always a draw, too many roads in Australia, etc.

The cricket board is even sadder and more full of whingers than the North Melbourne board, and at least they have a reasonable excuse for the whinging.

The guy can’t stay on the park. No thanks others ahead.
he is declared fit and can bowl and is in the squad...starc is playing not 100% thats fact ...and atm it could burn us

this series...cummins comes in to Perth test underdone ..we get burnt

hazelwood gets picked...underdone ....he can't get through a test

Starc..needs jabs in Melb obviously not 100%..struggling atm

see the pattern ???

We don't seem to learn from past series do we?

Then again we hired Langer as national coach so perhaps there are not too many brains in our Test set up.

Absolutely nailed it. Our top order has failed massively this summer and all because they didn’t want to show intent to score. Konstas going hyper to make up for the other jokers who won’t score.

I know a Head has got out a couple of times playing attacking shots, but the reality is we've looked more likely when we've looked to score and get on the front foot rather than simply letting the Indians dictate terms

We really just seem to have lacked intent at times and almost a mindset that someone else will step up if I fall - the problem is that all too often when someone in the top order has got out, they've got out cheaply and it's just put too much pressure on the next man in

Rather see us go down swinging than go out with a whimper
