I found that odd.
Equal highest score.
It's still "on top" so to speak because a Not Out trumps someone who got out.
Therefore:
Taylor: 334*
Bradman: 334

Was a ripper
I think Border Gavaskar is now superior to the Ashes personally
They recently beat NZ away. I suspect they'll comfortably beat India at home this year. Our batting is a concern and I think England will trouble us this time around.
simple drop himNot sure what we do with Labuschagne if this form continues for much longer.
Wait and see, my mail is noWhy ?? probably be better
I reckon it was only 2 years ago where they didn't come to Adelaide (we had the two WI tests in a row)Feels like a long time since we played South Africa
Look for his runs? Or what happened his ability to not nick off to slip every innings.King Kohli with a sense of humour
get around him
Happy for Cummo and Boland.Yeah he caught Aristotle Pickett too. Who went quiet once the Indians folded and Australia lifted, coincidentally.
I'm sure he just had some dusting to do.
Don't think Konstas needed to get involved but it doesn't bother me too much. Why not? Bumrah had his arm open asking the question so Kontas answered him with "he is not ready". Did he say anything aggressive???
His cough cough spin bowling probably saves him for the SL series.simple drop him
I would be looking at the impact he had without using stats and instead the eye test
- Kohli bumps him
- India mock his arm waving geeing up the crowd gestures - they practically never do this with anyone else
- Bumrah is geed up by him - again have never seen him like this
- Bumrah again seems agitated by him when he intervenes with Khawaja facing up
- Khawaja dismissal - they charge him as the non striker
- Ghambir basically calls him soft at a media presser after today
He was 110% in their head and distracted them. There is a good argument he took their focus off the game enough that helped Australia win - beyond his momentum changing innings Boxing day.
His batting he showed is not sustainable but he certainly had a very big hand ( beyond runs ) in Australia winning.
Yes this is correctThe two best series to watch are India in Australia (Australia not good enough in India) and Australia in England (England pathetic in Australia)
Edit: Oh and Australia in South Africa is usually good too
apparently India's 3-1 loss is an optical illusion.
it probably is, unfortunately. (not necessarily by me)You’re a good poster: please please tell me this isn’t going to become the new ‘moral victory’ of the next 18 months
Again correctsimple drop him
I was aggressive what Bumrah did and then also Kohli deviated in his celebration and run towards Kontas again.Don't think Konstas needed to get involved but it doesn't bother me too much.
What bothers me is McDonald moaning about "intimidation". I'd rather let India do all the sooking and moaning.
Exactly. It's silly to whinge about an adult test player being intimidated like he's a child.Don't think Konstas needed to get involved but it doesn't bother me too much.
What bothers me is McDonald moaning about "intimidation". I'd rather let India do all the sooking and moaning.
Yes, I fully understand how that works. It's still "on top" so to speak because a Not Out trumps someone who got out.

Taylor: 334*

Yeah rightoShe shouldn't be talking about want. You describe what you see happen you don't talk about your desires. She is utter tripe.
Looks like Jim knew what he was talking about after all. Once a batting line up applied itself, they reached 160 odd quite comfortably.
India's failure to establish a significant first innings lead was costly in the end, so both their first and second innings batting collapses put them behind in the game.
Well, that should be no shock. He's been a great player, but perhaps more in the Laxman, Ganguly generational great than Tendulkar all-time-world great. Or somewhere in between.Kohli is interesting his average could end up trailing back to a Langer-esque type figure, I mean low to mid 40's is a damn good average at Test level but it certainly doesn't leave you retiring in the air of Tendulkar, Lara, Ponting etc. etc.
