I do agree generally with what you're saying about hitting through the silly mid off. But considering Jaiswal first had a whinge about him being there and then they were such bad shots in the contest of the match, I do think he was trying to ping him more than trying to get him moved. We weren't going to move him if he cracked a few into or through him - particularly if he was playing high risk shots to get him gone.That happens every game from the batsmen’s perspective too. I have done that more times than I can count. Fielder gets in my eye line and I want him out of there, adds some annoying banter to boot, one sure way to potentially get rid of them: spank a couple of shots through that region. Becomes a bit of a ‘who blinks first’ battle
