Ya know Brady cops a lot of s**t from us, not so much me. Probably more you lot
He orchestrated a deal for JHFF for not picks but what would deliver us Sheezel, Wardlaw and another first rounder.
The second half of the deal. I personally would give up following us, if we offered Wardlaw and a late first pick for JHFF.
Brady has nailed this, and it wasn't guess work it was calculated.

Just sayin'.
I didn't hate the trade as much as others but worth noting that also included #1 in the 2022 draft and that other first rounder is tied to Port which isn't going so well.

Yes my point was it wasnt random by Brady, we wanted Sheezel and Wardlaw.
We needed the first pick traded to get the Wardlaw pick.

Also not his fault Port are going well. I think we will have an opportunity to land a decent footballer regardless of where they finish

Yes and Sheezel was coming to us regardless of if JHF stayed or was traded.

I strongly suspect we will trade the Port pick for an established quality senior player.

If the deal ends up being JHF for Wardlaw plus straight into best 22 type who plays 120 games including a flag, then happy days.

A Winston Abraham, John Blakey, Martin Pike type from the 90s.

I hear ya. Our talent ID has been terrible so hopefully we can start landing some later picks as well.

Nick Larkey, pick 73.

But aye, I hear you.

It'll grow back. Jason's did. It's not even half bad either.

Conversely, at Collingwood, Steele Sidebottom had his hair shaved for charity in 2018.

It hasn't been the same since.

From North Melbourne's FB page;

"George Wardlaw (managed) has been replaced by Charlie Lazzaro in the line-up for this afternoon's match.
Jack Ziebell will stay our substitute."

Who we traded to GWS, Jason McCartney, a bloke who one might suspect Brady and the club has a fairly open and honest relationship with, saw it as mutually beneficial to both clubs, with both North and GWS getting the players they want. WCE were the other part of that trade being Brady's previous employer getting involved. People and the media just love beating up on us, giving up two #1 picks for 2 and 3 and a future first,,,,,,don't buy into the bullsh1t, it was a masterstroke of trading.
