Hair has had cultural significance & ancient practices in almost every culture, yes including anglo-saxon, if we really wanna split hairs (no pun intended) we can go there, most don't practice it anymore and it hasn't caused any issues so far and it's frankly pretty pedantic if it did.

I wouldn't care if kanga lotto ended tomorrow but on those grounds, it's fairly paranoid. Might as well take the minority report pre-crime initiative with everything if we're gonna jump at shadows.
