Word I received from someone within the VFL program was there is damage, however hoping minor. Was an impact injury, wasn’t a non contact injury. Duursma just did a full tear and that’s 8 weeks, hopefully we can get a lower strain and be 2-4.

Surely the club takes the cautious approach and amputates the leg.

Not always. Papenhuyzen for example was extremely serious. Nearly 12 months and counting.

He’s not playing in the ones, because he needs to build match fitness.
So if he rested like you said and wasn’t selected this week because he lacked match fitness you’d be the first complaining that he sat out the scratch match.
