My point is he should have played 2 weeks ago knowing there was a bye coming up

I suspect the fitness and conditioning staff have access to fixtures. There's a fair chance they were aware of when the bye fell. And there's also a fair chance that they know a little more than us about whether George had picked up a niggle and needed a rest a week early, as inconvenient as that may have been.

Was interviewed in the Social room before the game and said he trained during the week but didn't quite pass the fitness test. Will play this week. Goater also said he's a chance to play limited minutes in the VFL this week.
