Certainly looks like the real Jack McCoy. He has Ice T in his veins and looks like he could provide a Stabler influence in the middle.

If he plays enough games we might be able to get some father and Bensons out of him.

I know it's probably already been said but jesus this feels like the 2017 draft all over again.

That year i wanted LDU but i thought it was a pipe dream. No way did I think he was going after 1 or 2. Then thanks to Dusty winning the brownlow (brissie had to get the "next dusty") and freo losing balic and weller in the trade period (can't recruit anyone from melbourne with questionable go home factor) we ended up with LDU. Awesome.

Now in 2022:
GWS were desperate for a tall so jumped in early. Brisbane needed to get ashcroft. Wadlaw had some slight injury concerns. End result is we get arguably the best kid in the draft again. Beautiful.

If there's a WWF reference to be made in this thread, it has to be THE WARLORD!

Plus, this is how George will be tackling the opposition next season:

I'd like to acknowledge the comment from his Dad that took a broader view of the entire draft group and not just George. This level of awareness and consideration of others, in what must be an all encompassing bubble, is a really great value to have as a cornerstone of a family.

In that 2 minute video, they come across as a well grounded family, with vision and commitment to causes greater than themselves. Shinboners!

I was trying to workout who he reminded me of all this time. Declan Mountford

I'm too young to have watched Paul Kelly but I do see a lot of him in George after watching those highlights short stocky bull
I still have nightmares about being towelled up by a young Paul Kelly when he played for Wagga Tigers - it was the year before he went to Sydney.
He was a phenomenal player.

Seems like one of the most capable inside midfielders we have ever drafted. Not my pick for 4 as I liked Tsatas a little bit more (injury concerns / fit as well), though I have never been a huge follower of the early competitions so I've not go much to go on.

Looking forward to see how he performs! These top level draft picks are super exciting that's for sure.

That's a blast from the past. I had no idea he fought for the world title against Hulk Hogan. What a push. I remember him as being intercontinental + tag team tier. Then again, i only really remember him from 1990 survivor series when he was with martel and power + glory.

Anyone know what Wardlaw's dad does? He gave a very respectful answer about all the kids doing well to be drafted and coming through some tough years.

Made me think he's in education or an area that deals directly with young people.

Yeah I know what he does.

Hes the producer of a future superstar.

Nephew of mine just finished year 12 at Skevs, posted NMFC’s shot of George last night - seems like a popular guy at school.

Sorry, that sounded like the start of a Toes story. No ITK, I was just interested to see first hand how much reflected glory there was with the selection.

Was very well said KC, did notice that too.

We lost *** and picked up this bloke ! 🤣
Looking at their respective draft highlights they seem very similar in that they are both explosive types, can win their own ball and tackle to hurt. Might be as close a like for like replacement as we could have gotten before considering Jason's pissy attitude and dodgy legs.

I'm praying for Poo-oort tears when they see the Lord in action and they think.....
