yeah, this kid is a freak. he's only four games into his career and is already putting the team on his back. for as humiliating as it was to have a number one pick walk out after a year, it looks like JHF did us a favour.
I don't waste any of my time thinking about JHF. Wardlaw is already showing 1 million times more effort than what JHF showed at the club. Sometimes things work out just the way they need to though at the time, it doesn't feel that way.

Looking magnificent today.

Has to be a show for rising star nomination this week.
Matt Johnson from Freo would be in the mix, had a good performance against the Tigers.

On a purely selfish level, I’m happier that we have George. JHF is, potentially, equal or even could be a better player (I hope not). However, I never really liked JHF. I like George.
Like a Carlton mate of mine was saying (that really doesn’t count for much btw) he’d take Wardlaw over him, especially considering he couldn’t handle living/playing away from home.

JHF will have a lot of fantastic Wayne Carey like highlights. But George is an aerobic/anaerobic midfield beast who seems to be much more mentally engaged in games compared to JHF.

JHF is finally playing the way he should be and it’s in a top two team, and George Wardlaw is playing this way in the bottom 2 team… and his fourth game.

By George, he's good
If there's one thing that North fans can be excited about right now, it's George Wardlaw. With just four games under his belt, last year's No.4 draft pick has had a scintillating start to AFL life and this week's game was probably his best yet. While he had a career-high 22 disposals (10 contested), an equal career-best nine tackles, and kicked his first AFL goal, it was the 19-year-old's ability to win the ball at the coalface that has him standing out from the pack. Wardlaw generated six clearances against the Giants, taking his four-game career tally to 23.

With both Warlord and Phillips, particularly in the first half you just knew they'd find a target. Amazing how well they work together already. I cant remember too many times we've looked more cohesive in the middle....ever.
They both ran out of juice a bit in the second half, but their workrates and hunger are way too high for that to be an issue for long.
