Strachan has been decent but I think he might need more support than he's going to get from Borlase/Burgess. ROB can ruck all day and be pretty competitive which is obviously his biggest strength.

Not sure how much it will matter if Strachan doesn't run out the game well but I guess we'll see. Not much on the line obviously.

I wouldn't bother giving Burgess anymore games & delist.

He's one of those players who can dominate lower levels but not up to AFL standard.

The thing that frustrates me about Smith’s continual selection is that it’s stunting Max’s development.

Max is a fantastic ball user, and when we put the ball in his hands more when Smith was out against Port it worked really well. Instead, Smith keeps getting those touches, and because he’s become a defensive liability Max is forced to be way more defensive in his focus.

Our side is unbalanced all over the field due to poor selections.

What you say is spot on, throw Hinge into that equation as well.

Forward, we play Murphy and McHenry who do f-all, and who barely rotate through the middle, so we're both short of midfielder rotations, but also forced to keep Rank/Rash forward more to try and compensate from the lack of output from the other two.

It's like our coaches think selections/structure work in isolation, and aren't all intertwined.

Got to give Strachan a, well I’ll say 6 weeks but might as well be the season, block of games to see if he can build on this game.

Even if Obrien comes out and dominates SANFL. That’s irrelevant. He’s not dominating AFL and that’s the league that matters.

Just nice to have someone in the position who doesn’t take 5 seconds processing the basic mechanics of a simple kick before executing.
