Not worrying (been scared) about Tippett and shutting down Hannebery, Jack, Parker, Kennedy, Mitchell, Lloyd, McVeigh etc are crucial this weekend. For the Crows, play attacking footy and take risks at those goals on the run. Sydney have great defenders and can really shut down a forward line so we cannot always be bombing it in. Buddy is hard to stop, it is going to take a big effort.
I'm not expecting us to win. But If we win, what a huge win it is. But regardless I want to see us give it our best shot this weekend.

I still remember the day Tippett left his house with luggage in 2012 and that was the last time I have ever seen him in Adelaide. He used to live round the corner from me and I swear I was not stalking him that day :D

McVeigh is injured. 1 less to worry about

I'm not worried. We have played 3 better teams that have been statistically better than anyone Sydney have played and our ultra fast movement of the ball has demolished each and every one of them. (except for North but we missed easy goals). We really are the first real opposition Sydney have faced and I do not think they will be prepared for the pace onslaught. Its not going to be an easy game but for once in a long time I am confident we are good enough to not only beat the best but we can actually be regarded as the best. Besides at this stage in our development and where we want to go, we need opposition teams to give us their best and bring it on!

I'm sitting in the bottom level in the Eastern Stand...what's that like as far as decent seats go? Wasn't cheap so I'd expect it to be alright!
The best seats in the house, to be honest. As long as you're not in the first 5 rows or so, you get a good view of all parts of the field. The atmosphere is excellent. Bring a poncho, as you might get wet depending on your row. (Row Z or above should stay dry).

I've experimemted with half-a-dozen different regions at AO. Level 1 of the eastern stand, on the wing or 50 arc, just under cover, is my favourite.

Had a massive chuckle at this

"Grundy has done a job on each of his three opponents so far. Collingwood’s Travis Cloke couldn’t get near the ball in the opening round, Carlton’s Levi Casboult was kept to two goals in round two as was Jonathon Patton last week."

Good point.. Cloke is so badly out of form that he should be playing in the VFA. For Casboult to kick 2 goals means he probably had 15 attempts.

Keeping Patton to 2 goals is reasonable, though he's still a long way short of his best as he returns from injury.

David King says it's the best clearance team in Sydney vs the best ball movement team in Adelaide. Pretty sure we are ranked as the number 1 clearance team this year as well...

Yes we are.

This came up earlier in this thread (or another one on the board). We are 1st for total clearances, but as a percentage of clearances won for total stoppages attended, we haven't been that good. So basically, we are first in total clearances because we've been in more stoppage situations than other teams at this point in the season.

So, I'm in Adelaide for a family wedding this weekend... Is it poor form if I go to the ceremony, sneak to the game, then make the end of the reception?

I've saved up all my boos for this game (except for 3 that I used at the North game for the umpires).

The first match was due to a suspension caused by your own clubs incompetent management, but lets not let truth get in the way of a good story.

Round 11 2013 Suspended
Round 4 2014 Injuries ???
Round 18 2015 correction Played

Apologies he Played in the round 18 game thanks Bacon8
