On what is actually happening:
One of the reasons buddy is so good but his set shot kicking is so average, is that he has an incredible reaction time in his brain in working out how he has to strike the ball to best do what it needs to do. Even that last goal was a great example. Yes most left footers would have done something similar but just watching that replay it was amazing how instantly he worked out EXACTLY how to hold, drop and strike the ball relative to his body position and his proximity to goal. He’s an amazingly instinctive player (yes I realise most people know this anyway it just sort of stood out to me just then)
