After that effort, I’d be proud of my team if I barracked for the Saints. Worked hard, found some good form. Steele great player. Hill best game for awhile. Good to see Marshall back.

Life huh. Last week the club, players and supporters were all deeply embarrassed. This week we couldn't be prouder of them. If ever a week was a long time....

WC fans take heart. I remember the Saints absolutely belting the Tigers with insane pressure in 2017. The Tigers took that and only lost one more match that season. Three premierships later and we're still waiting for a thankyou from Richmond

Jack Steele is just a different kind of animal. I’m starting to get real Lenny Hayes love for him, and I don’t say that lightly.

It's easier that way huh.
I think you'll find I said the Dogs should have/could have won that game by 3-4 goals given the volume of possession through the midfield.

My "controversial" observation was simply that the Dogs didn't immediately vault to the front of the pack by virtue of that result. I thought that was premature. I'm not sure I've changed that assessment, to be honest.

Is that an "excuse"?

I get it, WC have just had a terrible loss and you want to chime in. Fair enough. But I don't think I made excuses.

That said, the Dogs look far more credible than WC as it stands.

No mention of the umps here though

See the difference?

Yes, there's a big difference, particularly when we play in Perth. I would prefer we get the home town treatment to even things up but I'll accept parity.

I must admit the West Coast 'lean in' was annoying me early, but that appeoach to being tackled was partly their undoing. So all good.

Get rid of the rule.
I'm going to assume you're talking about the injury substitute.

I wouldn't be too fussed by that, though I think it's debatable. It could be gone, or strictly for concussions.

I don't care.
One way or another, that player should come off the field til he's right. He was in dreamland.

Well, that was an inspirational come back win by the Saints, the kind that builds group belief.

It's hard to know with the Eagles whether they lose interest or oppo team works them out when you see them turn off / be turned off like that. It looks like the former to me, but may be wrong. They are so exquisite to watch when on though.

Saints are building nicely, a couple of players still to settle into the playing style, but they have resilience which can take them a long long way.

How can the Eagles produce some of the best footy seen one week then some absolute garbage the next ... played great against bulldogs and port Adelaide who are looking likely to be contenders this year but then roll over and lose a 30 point lead to the saints!!? Confusing

LOL are eagles fans really blaming the umpiring??? Is that what I’m reading here????
EAGLES FANS... the team that’s had more free kicks than any other team in the league by the length of f*n whatever....... loooooool unbelievable.
Yeah I don’t think so, dunno where you’re getting that from. The vast majority of Eagles supporters at the ground and here give full credit to the Saints for that second half. Umpiring had no effect here, either way...anyone who says otherwise is clutching at straws or trolling.

If only the eagles played like this last week...
Give credit to the Saints for making us this bad this week, their intensity that second half was incredible, they played like they were playing in a GF. We just folded like a cheap suit under their incredible pressure, kudos to them all the way here.
As for us, well we have some deep soul searching to do and some concrete to drink.

Don't worry, every club has its share of supporters who moan about the umpiring.

I found the fadeout of the Eagles inexplicable, esp as you came so close to beating the Doggies at Marvel a couple of weeks ago.

Don't worry, order will be restored when your mob totally demolish Collingwood next week 👍👍👍

I don’t feel like we can demolish anyone right now with any conviction. All Collingwood have to do is watch that game and work out our very soft underbelly.
Urgh, I’m watching the replay right now which isn’t helping my mood 😬
Tomorrow is another week.
