Spare the complaints from the gentle petals. Considering the Pies were coming off an 8 day break when playing Essendon, it's swings and roundabouts for such a short flight. 5 interstate games for the year too. Such a travesty.
Let's be clear..not every Pie supporter on this thread is complaining about a 5 day turnaround and travel. The Pies travel well. It's not a big deal for the large majority. The club hasn't complained about it.

Fair call. And i think your mob is a well drilled, professional outfit, and given how fit they are, it's water off a duck's back.

Six this year. Three inside the first seven rounds.

And that's not a complaint either, just correcting the record.

(The record also being 5-1 after six rounds 😎)

Port played last Saturday. That's a 6 day break.
oops, sorry
currenty at the airport on the way home from holiday
lost a track of the days
I just know 1st game of round and thought thursday

Usually the Pies are one of the best travelling teams in the comp. But we played our worst game of the past 12 months at the Gabba recently so hoping that was an aberration.
If Adelaide can't beat us off a 4 day break and with half a dozen of our best 22 out, they are only pretenders.

Or.........they are still the second youngest list in the league, and getting games into their kids. As long as that's OK with you.

I reckon it’s a pretty young side for us this week too especially now Pendles is out, Howe, Cameron too are all above 30, we might be fielding an even younger side that yours?

I wouldn’t have thought so because the ins and the guys playing for the injured players already are all fairly mature in the system. Youngest may be Kelly or Ruscoe who are 20-21-22? Guys like Murphy and Adams aren’t youngsters and Markov is a mature aged pick up.

Darcy Cameron is only 27. But our average age would definitely come down without Pendles, Howe, Cox and (possibly, but hopefully not) Sidebottom out.

Nathan Murphy is only 23. Markov is only 26. Our youngsters also include Ginni, Daicos who both only recently turned 20.

If Harvey plays it’ll knock it down a bit, crows have a few ageing stars as well, Tex / Slone aren’t whippersnappers.

Without realising, I’ve become a big supporter of the Crows in the last 6 months.

We’re definitely a lot younger with Pendles, Howe and Cox out, but just a quick glance shows they had 15 players 25 and younger vs our 11 players 26 and younger (I went with 26 because we’ve got a few of them) last week.

We’re definitely the most seasoned of the two sides so hopefully that helps us with getting the W.

Yep. The age thing isn't as big a deal as some make out. I think we've got over 1000+ games worth of experience out with injury, which would make more of a difference than a few months difference in average age between the two clubs.

I love the old school forward so big fan of both Walker and the Fog. Rachelle and Rankine go alright themselves so it’s an action packed forward line.

You lot are definitely the better of the SA teams. More civilised too.

Without this becoming a love-in, I'm enjoying watching your mob too.

Sidebottom has the flu, but they expect him to get up for the game. If Pendles didn't have an eye injury, and Steele didn't have the flu, they would both be playing.

They were never playing Pendles. They are going down the management path like Selwood last year.
