Yeah 5-8th is great 🤣 St Kilda and Bombers 2.0

Meanwhile we’ll be drafting stars whilst you get Holmes as your best and we have already turnover essentially the whole list from the flags years. That’s what you call a rebuild.
Mate,they are Geelong.
They will be rorting the system in no time lol.

I'm confused. You've already essentially turned over the whole list from your flags while Geelong hasn't?

Why did you have 12 players from the 2020 grand final play last week while Geelong only had 8?

At the end of the year, Dusty, Grimes, Prestia, MacIntosh, Pickett, Baker, Rioli (possibly) are gone.

How many do we have left Lynch, Nank, Vlastuin, Short, Balta. I’m pretty sure that’s it.

We’ve also got a new coach

So we are way ahead of you guys in terms of turning over our list.

So when you said you had already turned them over you actually meant you hadn't yet turned them over. Got it.

Well this year. Which means we are ahead.

Hawkins will probably go on again to fund his eating habits and Neale is a spud. No doubt Chris Scott will think you can contend next year again. Yet again further delaying the rebuild.

-66 lol.
66 X an average of 25 metres let's say.
That's alot of goals.
Not counting the real enemy of Richmond, the umpire swallowed whistle.
We've had 8 years of that.
This year though,it probably benefits us but still.
Richmond also need a thorough investigation into why we are having so many injuries.
Since the game has been changed, there has been more injuries than ever and the average scores are actually lower as an astute Tiger on our board pointed out with facts.
I've given you two opportunities on this board to explain the CFL conspiracy and you've chickened out and not responded twice. I will keep asking until you man up.

If you hold these wild views you need to back them up when challenged.

Much prefer the direction we are taking than what your club is :)
Would have thought that after what we saw in Joel's last game that we're still by and large watching footy in a relaxed manner seeing some younger players get experience and enjoying the ride that goes with it.

Talking to himself is he?

It's the same few that do it in every thread.
Providing the discourse you like is much more productive than sitting and complaining.

What are your relevant thoughts on this game, given that is what this thread is for?

Geelong to lay down the sword is what I'm expecting. They need a tune up. Tigers pushing a top 2 team all the way last week makes it a bit interesting though.

With our entire midfield out and no Lynch or Grimes I expect Cats to win comfortably at home.

I still think $13 which is what the tigers are paying at Betfair is silly but with Prestia out as well I'd be extremely disappointed if we don't get the job done.

The tigers could win by dominating midfield. But with no Bolton or Prestia I'd hope we can break even even if Nankervis is too strong for Conway.

Graham and Baker are two decent premiership players rolling through there.

Surely Dusty will put his hand up - Mansell in maybe releases Martin further up the field.

Shorty used to rotate through at times to good effect as well, what's going on with him?

Dow is one for the future.

Martin, Baker, Graham, Short and Dow wouldn't be a bad mix.

Against the Cats "not a midfield" the Tiggies will probably be fine in that department.

Graham stinks, nothing player. Baker is a pinch hitter in the midfield. Short needs to get out of the backline because he has been horrible back there, hopefully he plays forward. Dow is a list clogger. That's a horrendous mix.

They might not be in their best form, but surely Short and Martin can give something in midfield for Richmond? Short was a 24 disposal, 2.5 clearance, 5 inside 50 per game player as recently as two seasons ago.

Stars like Hopper and Taranto?

No one will want to play for a team situated bottom four over the next 10 years. Sorry Clean, your time has come and quickly gone.
I'll put a nice bet on we won't be anchored to the bottom 4 for the next 10 years....

Think we've learnt from the Hopper and Taranto gambles that didn't pay off. We'll be having a strong draft hand this year to help that process.

Anyway irrelevant for this week, in which we'll get absolutely destroyed. Cats after a bit of a losing run aren't going to miss the chance to find form again at home against a bottom side.

Well i am sorry if the truth hurts, they have lost 4 of their last 6 games at KP and the only teams they have beaten are a couple of scrambled eggs in St.Kilda and North. Footy fans don't like their team losing, i don't like it either, but this team is not up to scratch, god help them when the Swans get hold of them...
You must be such a popular man at parties

Gonna be a tough game for the cats. They haven't beaten Richmond at Kardinia park in 7 years.
I just checked the lists of players names for both that ran out for both sides. Cats have 4, Richmond have 5. The Geelong football manager and former recruiting boss is named on the wing for us.

How much has the Cats line up changed since last time we met Richmond at home?

The only players running out in both matches (unless a late change throws Parf in) are Stewart, Kolo, Tuohy, and Zuth.

It doesn't feel like that long ago but our current Football Department and former recruiting boss is named on the wing, in a trend of Scotty sneaking defenders into all parts of the ground.

Also, Richmond, despite injuries, has more players than us out there from that game with Rioli, McIntosh, Broad, Nank, Dusty, and Vlastuin.

Being a Geelong supporter in 2024 is like being in the prison in “The Dark Knight Rises”. The false hope your club brings is immense. You are Exhibit A “My Tilly”
I dunno about that. I think the vast majority are pretty realistic about our list and prospects. Not many of our supporters had us in the 8 but we're a shot at staying in there which will be good for the kids to run out in a final.

Getting plenty of games into players 23 and under which is what most of us wanted to see.

Yeah I thought we had it bad

I think you and I have different definitions of a rebuild, but also, you get a while lot of older players back soon. You add one top end draft pick this year for to the injury run but next year I'm not sure you finish low enough to get another one either. Taranto, Lynch and Hopper should keep you away from the elite picks for a while
