It's funny how this club has become so inconsistent that even coming off of a record breaking win last week i still don't feel confident about this match at ALL lol.

Here's 5 reasons why I feel like Port will lose tonight:

1. It's a night game at the MCG. A timeslot AND venue that we tend to be shaky in.

2. Max Gawn likes to absolutely KILL us in the ruck and even on one leg he'll still cause us trouble. I like Jordan Sweet but I don't think he'll be capable of keeping up with Gawn in the marking or ground traversal departments.

3. Willie Rioli is super important for us but his record at the MCG is actually kinda awful. He is yet to even kick a goal for us at the venue in a PORT JUMPER.

4. Mitch Georgiades is a massive out and Todd Marshall has been down on form this year. He also had a hip injury around this time last year and it absolutely destroyed his kicking accuracy and movement for the finals series.

5. Melbourne are missing Steven May but they already beat us earlier in the year without Steven May anyway. I also get the feeling that we're suddenly going to make Neal-Bullen and Billings look like superstars for no good reason.

I truly hope I'm wrong about all 5 of these.
There’s no excuse for us tonight. Put simply, Port have to win, and win well, to have any credibility.

Love how Victorians will say home ground advantage doesn’t exist at the G, yet in the next breath say that it’s a great opportunity for interstate sides to get familiar with the ground

When are the ressies finishing?

Want to see the crowd flood in and the AFL quality football to start.

Sweet needs to learn that when you’re playing Gawn, you’re allowed to grab the opponent and pull them out of the way. It’s called “aggressive intent” when Max does it.

Melbourne “whisper of affirmation” wanting a HTB for every tackle.
A bit more crowd needed to make it noise.

Edit: Not that they need it, pressure making us look appalling so far
