Free kicks 21 to 8 in favour of the Bulldogs, also a 5 day break and a lot of injuries.

We did well to keep the margin to 10 goals all things considered.

We will bounce back, write us off at your peril.
Two 6 day breaks for the Dogs, too.

Irrelevant?

We've only been doing it our entire lives. Think we'll all be okay.

Looking forward to seeing how Geelong go against Brisbane at the Gabba, your first proper test, you may not be looking so smug then.
You and your mate made it about Geelong.
Nothing smug about making a pre-game comment that the Western Bulldogs should be beating a vanilla team.

What we do or don't do is irrelevant. We're not expected to do much, we achieved our goal of a premiership and then receded.
You should try that sometime.
He had a head that bled if you touched it with a feather.

I think that's where people's concussion exaggeration comes from.
Should have played pre-bandaged.

I thought it was noble of the Saints to even show up to the ground, given the impossible circumstances they faced tonight. A truly incredible performance from the moral victors.

It's always the umpires, isn't it? It's almost refreshing that you at least squeezed another excuse in.

If Bulldogs were ruthless they could've won by 100+ points - in second gear - without Libba and JUH.

Yeah and we were without King, Crouch, Wood, Henry, Howard, Webster, Paton and boom midfield recruit Paddy Dow.

They are all due back soon so look out.

Padding out your list with flotsam and jetsam there.

Will never understand constantly blaming the umps.

There's a place for it, but it's rare, and it shouldn't be a weekly occurrence. Maybe once or twice a year.

If you should blame anyone, it's your coach, your players, your board...whatever fits best at the time.

Umprires should be a long way down that list for all supporters.

I never thought I’d see the day where the loss of Paddy Dow is a bad thing. Only King and Henry are lossesHoward to a degree

Yep, in 2 or 3 close games a year where the umpiring on 50/50s etc (plus a few howlers) was extremely one way, fair enough.

The weekly complaints for 100% of every game just make their opinions worthless.

I can smell what they're cooking but only the first few will make a material difference, and Libba/JUH goes a fair way to squaring that up.

For a competitive loss, fair enough. Bulldogs had a training drill tonight, and are not a ruthless side. This could've been real, real ugly.

The '07 Cats would've put them to the sword to the tune of 170 points.

Leigh Montagna “Dogs have been consistently inconsistent “

Lmao many saints fans using 5 day break as an excuse hahaha ...... freo an interstate team had a 5 day break and won
Ross just doing that now too.

I saw Bevo go into a game last year against West Coast talking about entering with 'trepidation' and of course the Dogs got smashed, Ross apparently spoke about 5 day breaks pre game. No wonder they came out flat if that was the case.
