Training started 2 weeks later than usual, and the footy is starting 2 weeks earlier.

I have no idea about the Pies fitness
, but I'm suss about ours.

allegedly they are pretty fit, specifically did not go to Arizona this year to focus more on fitness training. Mind you, at this time of the year everyone is full of promise ........

Not me, I'm just heavier and more jaded.

Of all the kids that we've seen relatively little of, who do you want to watch tonight?

Mitch Brown
Billie Smedts
Lincoln McCarthy
Jordan Schroder
George Burbury
George Horlin-Smith
Josh Walker
Jarrad Jansen
Jackson Sheringham
Joel Hamling

For me;

Jansen is a given.
I want to see Schroder

Easy answer is all of them but...

Got a soft spot for Schroder so I'll definately be keeping an eye on him. Horlin-Smith is also a bit of a fave so I'll keep track of him.

McCarthy and Jansen would be two others.

From VCs list.

Mitch Brown (stick a fork him so no interest from me - still for the kid's sake I hope he proves me wrong)
Billie Smedts (to quote Elvis it's now or never)
Lincoln McCarthy
Jordan Schroder (can he turn that VFL form into AFL form?)
George Burbury
George Horlin-Smith (keen to see if he can "rebound")
Josh Walker (really keen to see if he can hold his own down forward)
Jarrad Jansen (very keen)
Jackson Sheringham (not much interest as MC said he's just list insurance)
Joel Hamling

The remaining three, just happy to have a look no expectations or overt interest per se.

Very eager to see how Vardy and Simpson go in their respective positions as forward and ruck, a little bit disappointed that there isn't a second ruck and I worry that Vardy will end up spending half the match rucking anyway.

I probably should have added Burbury in my list.
I thought he showed enormous desperation during last year.

Almost like he knew it was do or die.
Or maybe that was just the way he plays?

The Great Emancipator for me. Liked him in 2012 and he's been name dropped a few times by senior players as one of the ones likely to make an impact this season.

Is Burbury named in the final side?
Very keen to get a look at him, and of course Jansen.
Will try and keep an eye on McCarthy and Schroder too

Lol you do get this is just a practise game?

I think an injury free sentiment applies to any game don't you?

We have seen heaps of Brown and Walker. Put a fork in them. They are done. it's laughable to call Brown a kid these days. This is his 7th year.

Yep in the same way it applies to pre season training. Maybe we should just be nervous all year round except for the 8 weeks off between the Gf and the pre season. Although given we've notoriously had players injured from jumping fences and falling off ladders over this period lets just be nervous all the time and live in a perpetual state of anxiety.

Just so I get this right, you are having a crack at one who hopes that no player gets hurt in a game...

Each to their own I guess. I'll continue to hope that no one gets hurt. You enjoy your vengeance party.

Call it whatever you like.

They've played 10 games.

Like I said "players we've seen relatively little of"

You mean there's another was to live life? What the...!!!???

Where can I find the final team? Has it even been announced yet? Curious to know who misses from the squad.

Nah just the squads, annoying as shit. I assume it will be announced on Channel 7 like last year. I.e. 15 minutes before the game starts.

Are there no concession tickets to this game? Trying to buy online to avoid the inevitable huge queue and only adults and kids o_O

Also confused as to how the rugby and soccer at KP are sold by ticketek but afl continues with ticketmaster. i thought the stadium controlled the ticketing agency rather than the sport
