Re: AFL Round 11 - Coll v St Kilda - Pre-Game & Selection Discussion

Beams was subbed off in the Anzac game, then next game he was sub (I think), the next game he wasn't playing.

Blair was subbed off 2 weeks ago, last week he was the sub, this week he isn't playing.

I see a pattern forming. This could be the go with our young midfielders throughout the season to have them primed for finals. In 5 or 6 weeks maybe McCarthy? Sidebottom? Wellingham? Buckley?

P.S. Who is excited about the strong possibility of Fas playing next week in place of Swan!

P.P.S. How's Krakouer's hand injury going? Could be a late out for Blair?

I wouldn't read too much into Blair and others being dropped.. Its clearly a rotation policy which Mick touched on earlier in the year. He is trying to manage players game time and i think alot of the younger players will be in and out of the side frequently, and playing different roles too.

Blair will be back.

I think Fasolo might actually be a chance to play this week.

I can't see Goldsack coming in if Krak isn't right, and I think they will want Blair to have a run in the VFL regardless of late changes.

At least both games are on the same day this week (VFL and AFL) because we will probably not hold anyone out of the VFL game like we have the last few weeks, so we will know if there is a late out if Blair or Fasolo don't play tomorrow arvo.

And as for Fasolo's debut, whenever it is, I think it will be a day written into history, because he is going to be a 10 year player for us, he has "senior footballer" written all over him.:)

Trying reading the comment before quoting someone on it dude. .

Ironic considering you completely misunderstood his post.

In saying that, I don't actually agree with Zahki because there is still a vocal group demanding McCarthy not just being dropped, but instead be permanently banished from Collingwood. And there is still rantings about Buckley's disposal and form over the last few weeks. The haters certainly aren't imaginary in these two cases.

...but yeah, the Wood comment was probably fair :p

Re: AFL Round 11 - Coll v St Kilda - Pre-Game & Selection Discussion

He had his elbow iced by the end of the game last week but I'm sure Krak will play, didn't look like anything too serious, he was smiling and chatting to a mate at the end of the game. And Fasolo coming in? Exciting. He's going to be a player that kid, can't waitt o see what he can do, he looks like he'll slot straight in and contribute like Beams did in his first year.

EDIT: Thanks Zahki, and thanks boys and girls.

We'll shut this thread now. as we do, and adjourn to matty's fantastic Match Day Thread
