If blues can’t beat us today with the outs we have and serious lack of midfield, they’ll never play finals. Adams, pendles and daicos gonna have to kick some goals for us to kick a winning score.

Didn’t all our emergencies play in the scratch match fri? no carry over? little strange...

Midfield depth is dangerously low, not too mention the heavy load carried by Adams and Grundy over the year. Hopefully they run it out ok.

we need quicker and more aggressive ball movement into the 50 to give our out of sorts forwards a chance. Stephenson useless unless it’s given to him on a platter, good delivery is key.

We did a bit more of this against north, but agree. We never seem confident just kicking it long to a contest. I guess lack of marking talls does this. This whole forced handballs backwards etc, I saw the dogs do this and it proves costly a lot. just get it in the forward line, into space and let forwards lead into it!

Break a line run it through the middle, look at kicking or handballing corridor side as the first option. Not down the line.

This is essentially an 8 point game today given how tight 6th to 12th is on the ladder. Must win if we want to play finals.

When we look back at the season it will be the eight point games that we will regret.... teams just above and below us on the ladder that we couldnt beat.

Fremantle, Essendon, Melbourne, GWS, Richmond. Win just two of those games and our season looks a lot different. If we also blow it against Carlton then its just not our year.

Win against Carlton and finals are a lock. Then we can think about aiming higher, and beating two of the top sides to try and claw up a spot or two on the ladder to improve our finals draw.

We will need to win 2 of 4 to play finals. Beat blues we still need another win would have thought. That said looks like melb, Saints, gws all have games against each other which may help

can’t believe there not $1.60 favourites

if they can’t beat us now they don’t deserve to play finals.

From what I can gather, these scratch matches are glorified circle work - no one should have any trouble backing up.

Heater made his debut the day after playing a fair dinkum reserves game.
