Just play Ben Kennedy. He has speed, very good foot skills in an area we need it. I'm not against bringing in Witts and Jolly, with Hudson and probably Fasolo omitted.

I think Sinclair will also be omitted.

I agree we need to reinvent Sinclair for him to come anything close to best 22, and play
even semi regularly as our injury list shortens. Major flaw with him as a run with player is his work overhead. Opposition would very quickly take him to the defensive goal square, he is not at all strong overhead and will have to learn to body and spoil, a la Johhno.

He's not great 1v1. That's probably what's holding him back. Doesn't really bode well for his hopes of becoming a midfielder, either.

Otherwise, he'd be a decent small defender. Might even work with a bit of rebound/run and carry work going the other way as well, as Toovey tends to do. His brain turns to mush whenever he's in scoring distance, but a move to the backline would take that out of the equation. His field kicking is quite decent now and would not be a liability (any more than our other defenders at least).

Yep, I reckon it's a good, long-term plan. Will need to muscle up a bit more yet, but that's where I reckon his future lies.
