Will Poppy Schaap be one that got away? keen to see how she goes her and wagga girl Ally Morphett just 2 i would have liked

I don't think we were a shot at getting Ally Morphett (not that you said that), but I reckon she might end up being the best ruck in the comp with a couple of pre-seasons under her belt.
I was keen on Schaap too, not sure why the club overlooked her (then again so did basically every club).
Yeah i know Ally was always going to the giants i just wish we had her as i think she will be very good, and as for poppy maybe because she is so small that's the only thing i can think of......i just hope we are better this year, when your side can not kick goals the game is so hard to watch

less scoreless quarters is the bare minimum for improvement; agree with that.
hopefully our 2021 draftees will show why Poppy was overlooked..

I think poppy was a size issue recruiters in the womens game just like in the mens game prefer taller players to very small ones which is why they get drafted late or overlooked but if she can overcome the positional limitations of size shes a real talent.

I'm thinking that may be AFL related rather than necessarily just on the club - not sure who's totally responsible for updating all aspects of the website
At least it has their names - this is from the AFL Women's app, and the "current" Geelong players

Our Round 2 clash is on sale at 10am on Wednesday 15 December. Now is the time to jump onboard as an AFLW member for access. As an existing member you can upgrade your membership for as little as $2/month with our AFLW Supporter membership. View packages below."
It's a little disappointing, mainly as I was a foundation member before we even had an AFLW team
