It's obviously bad if he said a slur (and the way they're framing it as an investigation into whether he said it about them or to them indicates it wasn't a slur). But if he just called them campaigners or whatever then this is really a nothing incident. He shouldn't have done it's not like he's the last coach who will ever do it.

Perhaps Clarko was just giving some constructive feedback to umpire Andre Gianfagna, and it was incorrectly misinterpreted as a homophobic slur.
