This has been blown out of proportion.

Also I don’t think it’s great for a coach on the sideline - who is down there to talk with and focus and guide players coming on and off the ground - to be watching the game and venting like an angry fan. Unpopular opinion but I think he does need to be better than that for the players he is there to help. It isn’t the same as doing it in the box.

It's also only a story because of his own actions earlier in the season

I don't think there's any way he can coach next year if undergoing a Federal Court case which likely has similar media exposure to the Higgins / Roberts-Smith Federal Court cases.

Putting aside the mental health toll he would be enduring, as his employer, there's absolutely no way you could confidently think we'd be getting fair value for his services with the amount of time he is going to have to devote to his personal defence, not to mention the court appearances.

Leave of absence and a interim coach pending the findings.

If he loses this case, he wont be working in football ever again, regardless, as well as undoubtably bankrupted.

Alternatively, he wins this case in isolation, his next step will be a 12-18 month defamation case with the Hawthorn football club and the ABC.

Clarko could be in and out of court for the next 3 years, even if he is on the winning end of it.
Fairly obvious your feelings about Clarkson's coaching have infused into your views on him across the board.

Nothing to do with it.

And a bit of a cheap shot tbh.

If it goes to Federal Court do you think he should remain coach?

I'd love to hear unbiased reasoning. His current coaching performance has come nowhere near my reasoning.

Wondering where the outrage was when a player called another player a s%tc^&t directly to his face on-field recently. It was easily lip-readable on tv. I don't really care about the language (anyone can swear, it doesn't really reflect a person's character, abilities or education either way in my opinion), just the double standards annoy me beyond belief.
