Would you prefer he said "I look forward to remaining mediocre, and only getting an AFL game if everyone else is injured"?

At least it shows some intent, even if he doesn't have much realistic chance.

He can say whatever he likes. I look forward to being the first man on Mars...

Against the expectations of most, Graham generally acquitted himself well in 2010. But as tugga says, he went backwards after that. He got monstered by Ben Hudson last year, who himself was only a few games away from being delisted. That did it for me. Maric's physical presence was like a breath of fresh air.
Believe me, Maric had some pretty shocking games at Adelaide as well, which is why he needed the fresh start at Richmond. There is no reason that Graham can't get his career back on track.

Yeah, he is gonna come out and say 'I'll never improve, I'm a spud and always will be, and am just coming over to Adelaide to only play when Jacobs is out'. He is only 25, there is no reason he can't improve his game back to the level it was in 2009 and 2010, or better. We aren't looking for the next Cox, we are looking for a guy to provide backup to our number one ruckman. I mean ****, Hawthorn have done alright without a superstar ruckman for years. Remember some of the games Maric played while he was here? He was borderline spud at times.

Maric has the kind of effort and intensity levels that mean he's going to get the most out of himself, and goes a long way to somewhat cover a slightly lower level of natural talent that is possessed by other ruckman. Graham does not have this intensity.

Would love him to prove me wrong, but I don't see it happening.

You guys haven't given up much for him though, so I am not sure why so angry. Good luck picking a better prospective ruckman around the #40 mark. It wasn't that long ago that Graham was playing some half decent footy for the Tigers, so who knows, he could be ok. As for Jacobs, he was hardly setting the world on fire at Carlton.

Graham had that intensity when he was playing good footy. Maric didn't always have that high intensity level when he was playing like a spud, but the potential was always there if he was given the confidence by the coaches etc.

He may not prove you wrong, but it is way too early to call considering he hasn't even started training at the club or played games for us. Just give him some time at least.

And at least he wants to come to Adelaide and genuinely wants to be here.

Reckon he's someone that would benefit from the no grappling rule at contests? His main knock seems to be that he's a bit soft.

I reckon. He has a good vertical leap to go with his height. He is not weak in the wrestling contests, but his ability to get higher than his opponent is his main strength.
