I understand why Collingwoood are exempt from playing at Skilled, but I can't work out how Carlton, Essendon and st kilda get the exemption when we have to go there?

We have played there 7 out of the last 8 years( missed 2008 but return there in 2009!!) yet the others haven't played there for many years.

Our drawing power and actual crowds match/better some of the others who are exempt, yet we continue to be shafted.

It is a nice little advantage not to go there when you consider they have lost there once( 2 points?) in two years, so if you draw them there it is virtually a guaranteed losss

no, then teams would start taking it seriously, meaning topline players would all be up and running by early feb thus burning them out towards the end of the year and leaving us with a finals series with lots of stars on the sidelines. Also would'nt really be fair to a bottom club such as melbourne to be thrashed 1st rd of the nab cup and thus ensuring they had the 16th pick of the draft.
