Surely you care about his football opinions because as a coach that's what he's going to be sharing with our players and the other coaches.

Did Sanderson replace Hart on the coaching panel at Collingwood?

Sando came in as head coach after Hart left, brought Milburn in I believe.

It still does though. Didn't we put 13 goals on them from 5-10 minutes into the second half a few weeks ago?

Actually not sure how to feel about this decision, I mean It it is good to see club legends involved again but I just don't know if this fits in the idea of
"best football department in the country".
Just feels to me that we haven't really made any inroads at all to have the best football department and I am talking about coaching staff, apart from appointing Francou what other big names have we got over here? And you could argue that the coaching staff contributed to making the grand final but doesn't seem like Fagan has done what he promised when he got here.
I don't like having the 'boys club' label with our team and even with Justin Reid would he have been considered if he wasn't John Reid's son? we seem to look after our own too much and that's what happened a lot under the Neil Craig era.

He was in charge of defence in his previous stint which was ranked
2nd in 2008 ( team finish 7th)
3rd in 2009 ( team finish 5th)
6th in 2010 (team finish 11th)
that should have him pretty well regarded on this board seeing we judge assistant coaches purely based on the strength of their area.
So why did he get moved on?
I'd take Voss as a midfield coach over Campo... and that says something.
Couldn't disagree more, can't say that I followed his work at Collingwood particularly well, but always felt his work as our defensive coach was extremely good. Heard similar good reports as well. Defense was also one of our few good areas in Craig's final years, midfield/forward structures were the joke. Deteriorated under Sando/Milburn.
Moved onto Collingwood because he had senior coaching aspirations. You also don't generally hold an assistants job for 5 years if you're average. You get dumped after 3 years never to be heard from again Milburn style...
There's few ex-players I'm happy for the club to employ and I agree that we do it too much, but Ben I'm happy with. Don't judge a guy by his media performance, especially when you're stuck with Kornes...
Yeah I'll hold judgement on this one. Strange that we'd get him back, but who knows how he'll go and what role he'll be in
Collingwood gave him the boot last year.
No moved on as had senior coaching aspirations, was keen for the Head coaching gig when Sando got it. Decided he was better off moving interstate/to a different club.
Maybe he was just highly rated and we were disappointed to lose him...

Yes - I meant when Sanderson moved onto the coaching panel at Collingwood in 2016. Sanderson and Buckley are mates and go back a long way.
Could have been, no surprises Hart might have left, Buckley had already been in the job a few years and was struggling for results, at this point you either sack Buckley or his assistants. It's pretty clear Buckleys being given absolutely every opportunity to prove himself...
