This is shaping up as the one the most predictable tests ever- it's clearly heading towards about a 120 run victory for india. It might have been more like a 50-60 run victory for india if Lyon had a bit more luck yesterday, but the gulf between these two teams is somewhere between those two margins.
It's not that Australia aren't competitive, they're trying hard and their bowling and fielding is elite, but at the end of the day it is two teams going all out, one with a world class batting lineup and the other with one of the worst top 6s in international cricket.
I think we will lose every test where India win the toss, and at best draw the others. The massive red flag for Australia is India are in the process of beating them comfortably without Kohli having fired a shot yet.

Wrong. Our test team is bereft of quality batsmen and needs all the help it can gets.
If there is somebody who has done the goods in the shield, there is no reason to leave them there while we lurch from defeat to defeat.

We can't catch a break anywhere at the moment. Jhye Richardson looks to have broken Nic Maddinson's arm who was actually putting together a great summer, which he'll now miss the entirety of.

I always liked the ability of Rogers to start slowly to get set, then accelerating later in the innings.
Marsh actually averages 60 when he gets past 10. Means with an average of 35 there's lots of shit scores.

Let's suspend the BBL for a summer and put the Sheffield Shield on TV instead.
Commentary would be better with.. wait for it, one commentator in the box all on their own.
A batsman should still be dropped even if they hypothetically hit a century which would almost certainly at least save a Test match.
Watson was supreme at getting out just after a break as well as the dumb shot once set. Get him in!

It would helped for sure, it's a hard deck for visiting batsmen first up and I don't think Lyon vs ashwin would have been as even a contest at the Gabba, ca don't give a shit though it would mean a bit less cash and that's all that matters.

India still favourites to win but Australia aren't completely out of it with Marsh and Head still there, they would need to get the majority of the runs though.
