I said he "battled well", which of course takes into account the fact he's been playing under duress for weeks. Not sure why you would read anything else into it other than what I plainly stated.
Like the Port game, he fought it out well for a young bloke playing below full fitness/freshness. Was still winning HTA's in the last quarter (including the all important first centre bounce), finished with 8 HTA's which is again above the season average of all the elite rucks, plus took that contested mark in a pack of three Suns and converted though exhausted in the final minutes.
Witts has been super important to the Suns, he's a major element of their scoring from stoppages (they are #1 in the comp) and he's got the better of some good rucks this year, but he gave them no advantage over the course of the night when 1:1 against Soldo. Their game rankings were almost identical, Witts got a major portion of his ranking while opposed to Chol, plus we nursed Soldo with only 68% time on ground compared to the 92% Witts had.
Good effort all things considered.
