Autopsy Autopsy vs Carlton & the Umpires

I came here to bitch about an umpiring decision, which I rarely do and noticed 80% of the posts so far are blaming the umpiring.

Aside from 2 shocking decisions they were about as good as they always are. Ok. They had no bearing on the overall result of the game.

I was ready to forgive the missed high tackle on Zurhaar but the I saw the umpire say he lifted his arm (he gestured it but you know what 8 mean). Powell kicked the goal so whatever.

Stephenson bounced the ball twice then ran 10 steps and got pinged for travel. Oh that sucked. Can't remember if they then went and scored but ouch.

That Howe turnover in our forward 50 was ugly. Not sure what the coach sees in him.

All in all, we played a solid game, undersized in defence, but our structure held up for the most part.

The crowd was amazing and that should see us hold onto the game for at least a few.more.years before they review it.

Comben can absolutely take contested grabs, just hasn't taken the next step at this level yet.
What’s he up to now, 5 or 6 games?

Chom has all the time in the world on his side, same as wilphil. Some people in here need to chill on these guys, they just need as many games as possible stuffed into them.

Take out the umpiring and it was a good competitive game. We were unlucky on a number of fronts with injuries and tribunal. Much better than watching Josh Bruce kick 10.

Who is this Will Phillips guy you lot keep talking about?

As per the umpire when he received a free kick, his name is "Number 29 North".

Not Patty or Charlie or Harry.

If that didn't say a lot about how an AFL game is umpired, I don't know what will.

The frustration has dipped a bit, and can now appreciate how well we competed in the first half and how we at least fought the game out to the bitter end, salvaging some credibility on the scoreboard (because that easily could have looked ugly).

It was really that 3rd quarter and early goings of the 4th that inflicted the damage.

I reckon we lost that game than Carlton did to win it which is the most frustrating part.

They got a umpiring boost then our turnovers helped them mounted on top of the KPD issues we faced. That's just a hard spot to come back from.

Suppose I’m on my own but at some stage loses become unacceptable.

Two amd three , Brissy next . Who is our likely pick 3 in the drafts ?

Cause we need to replace six from today
The list is cooked mate. Big turnover coming at the end of the year, no doubt about it
