Just read a story on the afl site linking Bling to Adelaide. Said he has been in Adelaide meeting with officials.... If true what could we get from them?

Their first pick is 14 but that has been linked with Jacobs of Carlton I think....

I think we would have good power on this one given he has 2 years of a contract to run..... I actually want to see Bling stay and deliver for us consistently but if we get the right deal......:thumbsu:

Greg Dehnam is saying on sen that the crows will give us the pick they got for Bock which is about 29.

If that's the case I will be pissed off and would rather keep him. For christ sake he is better than Jacobs.

would be a lot better off keeping him if we only get pick 29....play him off the hbf in our development year. Hopefully he plays a good year and then go for a better pick the year after.

Please don't buy into pick 14 being offered for JAcobs.

It's their coach and recruiting manager doing posturing that won't get them anywhere.

I beliece our recruiting manager said 14 will be staying with us.

There is no way he is worth pick 14.

Pick 18-24 would be as good as it gets for Bling. Pick 29 is not an option and he should stay for that.

Would prefer to look at Taylor Walker as an option or:

Pick 29 & Dangerfield. lol just kidding

Andy Otten direct swap?

If Adelaide gave us a $100 gift voucher to their merchandise shop then we are getting a good deal.

Don't see the value in trading him myself. At 24 he's ready to enter his prime, barring further bad luck with injuries. And he has the capacity to be a potent line breaker. My gut feeling is that we would seriously regret letting him go.

It also comes down to who we want to target in the draft and if they will be availble with the pick we get for Tambling to if he goes. I would rather us keep him but another 1st round pick would be very good.

this is one player we cant let go of...just yet.

you cant invest such a high draft pick and then just let him go for pick 29 in a compromised draft. Our player development has been fantastic this season.

put him in the right position and let him play

There are two ways of looking at it:

1. Seeing Tamblings upside. The guy had his breakout season in 09 and performed to the expectation of a number 4 pick. Then he entered pre season with injuries. He struggled with injuries all year and therefore could not get back to his form. If he is injury free there is a huge chance he will slot back to his 09 form, ecspecially considering the side will be improving and I believe Tambling is a guy who will shine in a good team. I think they call that a frontrunner or downhill skier, however those players are needed when you are in premiership contention. Would be worth keeping him because he would be at the very least in our bottom 5 players when we are going after the cup. If he is in our bottom 5 it means we have a very good team.

2. Trade him for a pick under 20. If we did this we may be able to land a player like Kieren Harper. This kid probably has just as much upside and x-factor, but is no certainty to ever make it past 10 games. YOu know Tambling has enough to make it at the top level if everything goes right, this kid is an unknown at top level, but could be a very very good player. Just using him as an example.

3. We get a crap pick say in the late 20's. The only way I can see the club going for this is if they are really keen on a kid they believe will be there or they know Tamblings body is stuffed. There is probably one more option which is that they believe that Sherman for example is an adequete replacement for Tambling and the pick secured for him will pay for Sherman.

Personally I would only want to get rid of him for a pick between 15-20.

i don't wan't to loose tambo, but if the crows gave us walker and a draft pick i would let him go!! walker could be a good suport 4 jack
