Had a look at the last few drafts. Assuming mature age just means 19 or older in draft year:
2017 Tim Kelly #24
2016 Tim English #19
2015 Harry Himmelberg #16
2014 Jack Steele #24 (Blaine B #19)
2013 Sean Lemmens #27 (Rory Lobbe 29)

On average mature age player taken by pick 22?
And 2 low 20 picks got us Charlie just a few years ago.....

So for all the dummy spitting over not getting a PP, we may in effect get a value of around pick 11 from the 2 picks anyway.

State league access.
I have my own rumour.
AFL making it up as going along and not even worked out details yet.
I looked on AFL site and my inbox for email from Carlton detailing how it works but nothing. Just headlines but no full details.

Do we get extra spots on primary list due to these two players?
Are these players not for primary list but added to rookie list in addition to rookie list players we will take later at rookie draft?
Can they be put on a two year contract and outside the salary cap ?
How long can they exist as extra players outside cap and normal primary list limits?

Or are they essentially taking our last two picks of national draft and giving us those picks before the national draft with restriction they must be mature aged state league players ?
What exactly is the cut off of age for these pre-listing access picks. Do they need to be older than 20 at 31st December this year? etc etc.
Details, I want details but can find nothing.
If we trade a pick or both do other clubs get them outside primary list too ?

Being conservative, say we get around pick 30 for each. That has to be at least as valuable as pick 19.
Imagine if we had #1 and 4 second rounders to play with.

They probably haven't provided the details because they haven't made them up yet.

It is absolute bullshit how this works. So if feedback from other clubs is not like what little heard so far, AFL mould it to water down to least possible value to suit them. Great, love your work, Gil, you absolute manipulating ****wit
