Why are Bombers referred to as * ???
an asterisk in sporting records indicates something amiss with the result - lance armstrong might be recorded as having won 7 tours but each year would have an asterisk next to it - thus * are always referred to here as *

He's a quality young man that Dylan. Speaks well, respectful etc.

And can football a little too.

Get it done.

He is 100% genuine about his feelings for GWS and Sydney. My best friends are still from the first firm I started in after post grad 25 years ago - felt awful leaving the place which I had grown up in in the business sense and had supported and helped me develop - what made it work for me was the thought I was wasn't leaving somewhere I was going to somewhere - it was very amicable but still very sad to this day.

Last visit usually is starting preference in my experience.

There is only 1 compensation pick, no matter how many free agents leave.

If say GWS has Carlton’s first (let’s say it’s Pick 3) and GWS finish 3rd, no way would AFL give GWS Pick 4 as the compensation Pick. AFL would give GWS Pick 17 which follows the (traded) pick from where they finished.

So what bit is not true?
Show me in the rules where it says one compensation pick per team.

My best guess is he touring clubs but more for to decide where he likely want to go the following year as free agent. He probably open to going this off season too but the attraction to stay at least one more year at GWS for premiership campaign with players he grown up with, has to be strong. I think that is why exit meeting did not ask for trade. But if something triggers him to want to get down to here earlier he may ask for GWS to trade him, knowing they most likely have massive salary cap squeeze so trading him has some logic for all parties concerned. But if Lobb going that may ease salary cap just enough to keep Shiel one more year and see where things are at end of 2019. I lean towards 55% chance to he stay, 35% chance he come to us and 10% chance of other clubs he touring.

Tom Browne, proving the word reporter has lost all meaning..
It really is pathetic isn't it. They angle the whole situation to make the player look like a mercenary if they come to a developing team, but fellow of the game if he chooses an established team.

What happened to actually having to earn your right as a journalist to provide opinions, rather than reporting the news.

Tom Browne you are a grub at best

Agree with previous poster that it will be very satisfying when Shiel nominates us

They also had 7 players who will be 30 or older by the start of next season that played in their losing final this year, but tell me again why this is Shiels preferred destination makes no logical sense

I’d do Pick One for Shiel Setterfield and Pick 12.

I'd want a little more Soap for pick 1 because whomever GWS select at I will a star, and if next year GWS can't match offers for Dylan they'll lose him and compensation pick would only be about a pick 16 given they'll finish about top 4.
Perhaps they can throw in a 2 rounder too? to help us snare Mitch without huge cost.

I just wonder if Shiel were to go to the Hawks, and they finish bottom half of the ladder next year, what will be the story's motif then?

Exactly. And loading a question about family in Bayside so if Shiel answered slightly off cue the next headline is......Shiel to St Kilda
