And they already have the picks, see previous trade period for more info.
They have at least 5 academy kids this draft, with a few being mentioned as top 5. It depends how highly rated they all are but they have 3 first round picks (2 of which will be low 1st round), plus some later picks. Maybe not enough?

i don't want to labor the point, but i spent some time digging up a few posts in the past 10 minutes or so. i probably remember his thoughts on being a supporter because i had discussions with him about 'we must support'. in many ways, some of what he liked to talk about would have gone down very well on the main board and generated a lot of discussion, but he was both afraid and disdainful of other teams supporters (or barrackers, as he would say).

Gee it was a different world in here back then

Can't help but feel the pendulum has swung a little too far in favour of Gorringe and Sumner. Some promising signs, but I'm not quite on the wagon yet...as the empty shiraz bottle in front of me is testament to.
Gorringe sure, Sumner on the other hand tackles and chases like a star and is a reasonable shot at goal.

Sumner is a real goer like Holman but with.a better tank and kick.

Is a keeper, if not best/starting 22 material yet, is close to it.

I agreed with him on the whiteanting of Ratten. I agreed with him as far as criticising rich benefactors. In fact I was the first Carlton poster on BigFooty to criticise our benefactors because I did so when I first arrived and I was the second Carlton poster here.

There was nothing new under the sun but the way he went about it after the fact was just wrong.
Who was first?

Who was first?

Bee was here when I arrived. She was then an unregistered poster named 'Bitch'.

She was one of my co-mods at one point in time. She pops her head back in once in a Navy Blue mood.

I should say that the first was actually Chief but he wasn't Chief back then and had not formally announced his allegiance to the masses.

This 40yearblue person was obviously well before my time on BF. But I'm kind of inspired by him. I might start posting really controversial stuff, so that one day, when I'm no longer here, people will reminisce and talk about me...

The year 2035:

ODN: "it's a shame TheCoach16 isn't around to see our 27th Premiership and Weitering's fourth Brownlow..."

ferrisb: (insert something really witty and funny about me..)

thylacine60: "FFS, never liked that campaigner"

He's hands are quite good, much better around the ground than Phillips but we all ready carry Kreuzer for that. Phillips is a better tap ruckman and our game depends on winning clearances and locking the opposition forward so I'd pick Phillips.
I prefer the Kruzer/Gorringe. This way Kruezer spends the majority of time in the ruck where he is at his best and we are at our best. Gorringe provides a better target around the ground, and better target up forward. With Phillips in the team he doesnt provide enough around the ground, and theres debate whether he should be starting ruckman and this makes Kruezer play more forward where he is ineffective.

I've really enjoyed gorringe's contributions the last couple of games. His first game was putrid but since then he hasn't put a foot wrong.
I actually prefer a Kreuzer Gorringe combo over a Phillips Kreuzer combo.
Whilst I am been pleasantly impressed with 2 of Gorringe's 3 games and happy for him to stay, Phillips comes back in as he is the better ruckman. In fact I think Phillips is better than Kreuzer at Centre Bounces. If Phillips was playing against North and Brissie, we would not have been murdered out of the middle like we were.

He is certainly a goer but he isn't getting enough of the ball or hitting the scoreboard enough yet.

We will see but the jury is still well and truly out on him.

Plowman on the other hand is coming into his own each week and continues to impress IMO. He alone make the GWS trade a winner!

I think this is the best combo if Gorringe keeps his level of play the same as what he has produced in the last fortnight.

Kreuzer always plays his best playing almost lone hand in the ruck but he does need a chop out. So if Gorringe can compete up forward and at ground level in general play and then chop out in the ruck for maybe 20% of the game then he is ahead of Phillips for mine.

I feel like when Kreuzer and Phillips play together they each play half a game. If you combine their stats for the game then it looks great but individually they both struggle to have an impact when played together. We carry the one that is not in the ruck at the time.
