Yeah...i can only assume they'll play him as more of a forward who helps out in the ruck...basically replacing Jesse White.

MK's best work is around the ball rarely as a forward

Pies have tabled an offer for MK for 4 years at $500,000-$600,000 which will then trigger the compo pick which the AFL are concerned about... (Bad luck I say!)

Treloar will tell GWS tomorrow that he honing home to Victoria but not nominating a club - Pies, Tigers and Blues the likely clubs.

SOS has convinced both Lachie Plowman & Andrew Phillips to come to Princes Park

If any of the above is true I'll be happy a part from missing big Humphrey of course.

If we get Plowman, then there is a good chance that we wouldnt be chasing Carlisle all that hard which means that we could be using the PSD as the stick and pick 10 as the carrot in regards to acquiring Treloar.

Yes.

Not completely convinced that he has what is required to be a long term AFL footballer, but we do need another ruck if Kreuz leaves and he is not an implausible option.

We should get Phillips and Plowman for cheap as well since they are far behind in the pecking order at GWS, so I'm happy with this.

Are you comparing Plowman to Carlisle?

Carlisle has shown AA ability, Plowman has done nothing.
But i do agree that it may lead us to give up less for Carlisle.

So pick #3 (if Brisbane get a priority pick) to GWS could become Treloar, Phillips and Plowman? Mid, Ruck and Defender. Much better than Carlisle option IMO.

Because the media are up in arms about it... or rather they are starting to make weird concerned sounds that Brisvegas would miss out on getting Schache... which would be their feel good story of the summer.

The next step in the campaign would be to start making noises for Brisvegas to get a start of round 1 priority pick so that Brisvegas could pick up Schache... and give them a massive boost thanks to the feel good story about Brisbane picking up the son of a former Bear.

However, seeing as how the AFL would have to decide that Brisvegas was worthy of a pre-round 1 priority pick, they would have to compare them against us... and somehow, as people have pointed out, they managed to beat us twice this year. So I am also waiting for the cries of "Carlton tanked this year for the picks" to start ringing out and the AFL to decide to punish us by moving our first pick to the end of round 1 so that Brisbane can get picks 1 and 2 from their priority pick and moving up a place in the draft.

If pick 2 is worth 2517 .... Lets say someone bids pick 17 for Silvagni (1025 points) and Pick 9 for rice (1469 points).... could you use pick 2 and clear the deck? so Rice and Silvagni for pick 2? again I am still very confused in the system.... so be kind.

Plowman just returned from injury and was in team of the week instantly. Probably their best young promising key back if GWS supporters are to be believed.

We would pass on both and pick up Silvagni in 2 years when he is ready to play AFL.

The problem with that is that all bidding is done live on the night at the pick that the bidding team wants to use. Carlton, in that situation would have to use our second round pick and quite possibly our third round pick for Rice in that system. We couldnt use pick 2 because we would have already used it if we had it.

Don't think anyone will bid a pick in the teens for Silvagni, right now he's a developing kid definitely not AFL ready and I cannot see Rice being drafted in top 10. Now, by the time clubs bid for Rice or Silvagni, we would have already used pick 1 (and maybe pick 2 if the Kreuzer compensation works out).
So no, they'll never be drafted that high.
