Isn't Fullback and Centre Halfback pretty much interchangeable these days. They generally swap over depending on the better match ups or whatever reason. But generally they aren't pigeon holed as a CHB and never play deeper.

On a seperate note... If we had Jamison, Carlilse, Weitering and Plowman... who would miss out?
I'd say initially Plowman but he'd look to replace Jamo as time passes.

Dont see the hype in getting a guy who may end up with a 2 year ban o_O

I'm not excited either. Too many years Imo but the $$$ is probably about right. Just front load the contract (say $1.2 million/year) so if he gets banned we can't pay him and he sues * for lost earnings. We then pay the remaining $600k at $200k/year over the last 3 years. It's a win win for everyone (except for * but who gives a shit about them .....)

Out of the four I named. All over 190cm... surely it would make for a defence with too much height.

As BlueJet said probably Plowman initially until Weitering (3rd tall) replaces Weitering and Plowman can come in as the third. The problem with this however is you'd like to get AFL games into a developing Plowman.

Or Plowman turns into a tall mid and everyone is happy (except for KJ who now can only play as a forward)
KJ must play forward. Looks to have the attributes to be a strong 3rd tall, but in defense, his decision making has left me scratching my head.

I personally think you can play all 4, with Plowman playing a more quarterback style role, and pushing through the middle.

Jamison - Carlisle - Tuohy
Buckley - Weitering - Plowman

Plow aint exactly the traditional tall defender - a few cm shorter and has a few different strings to his bow. I'd imagine we'll have a bit of a 'play your role' theme brought from Hawthorn, too - so we'll likely see guys move around depending on matchups/form/game-plan, more so whilst we're developing.

This is true, I remember it being discussed around the time that he was drafted that he showed a bit of promise as a big mid.
Personally I prefer KJ as a KPF as he seems to have the instincts of a forward

Which brings me back to the question of "if we wanted a kpf then why didn't we keep #7 and Draft Wright who wasn't a surprise slider in the end". We still would have been able to Draft BB with our 2nd Rd pick (let's be honest noone else was interested) but we wouldn't have Whiley or Rainbow.

All jokes aside it's been said that weiterings best position could be on the wing.
I also wouldn't think plowman would come to carlton just to play reserves if he comes it's because we see him as a best 22 straight up.

agreed, in hindsight i wish we took wright, lever or duggan with pick 7 and then took BB at 28.. does rainbow impress anyone who regularly goes to vfl? of all the games I've seen he looks lazy and barely gets any of the pill. although has a beautiful leg

Perhaps we rated Jaksch > Wright?

We traded for kj because we saw him as a key back.
That doesn't mean things can change. I couldn't imagine we would have expected to lose hendo.
I personally see kj as a chf going forward.

Well we don't know if Jaksch was wanted for his defence or forward work, or both.

I'm pretty optimistic that Boekhorst will have a very good 2016 and put some of the question marks to bed. As much as he was talked up as a starting 22 player when we got him, he said he was only aiming to play 5 games or something in 2015 which is likely to have been the plan in consultation with the club.

Assuming we pick the obvious #1 this year, our tall stocks aren't looking too bad for a start to the rebuild process if we can grab a couple of the players talked about:

Jaksch, Weitering, Jamison, Everitt, Walker, Casboult, Carlisle, Plowman, Rowe with Foster developing as a forward too.

Some won't be there in a couple of years obviously, but if we pick up one or two more 18 year olds in the next couple of years, its a good base.

We definitely wanted him as a swing man.

Wasn't Jaksch's main claim to fame that at GWS he once kicked a goal against us?

Aside from a decent junior pedigree and being a first round draft selection.
