Anyway, Bluemour Discussion thread ... how did we even get on to past posters opinions on Mick Malthouse? This thread is the most elastic thread on BigFooty I feel.

Perhaps but given it was raised to champion him at the expense of many who are still here ....

In forum terms ... 'To the living we owe respect, but to the dead we owe only the truth.'

Yes there was some 'baiting' factor in the reference and your response was spot on in context ODN.

Starchamber says hi.

Before my time - so every time I read a reference to Starchamber - I don't get it.:D

Think of Windhover starting a new thread for every thought bubble he had, without coherence or punctuation.

Wright more so than Gorringe.
Gorringe may well surprise you.

A 200cm guy who can kick as well as most on the list, has excellent close in handball skill, moves and picks up the ball like he's 180cm all while running +15km a game at an excellent clip.

In a game that had had max 90 rotations , a guy like this might come in handy.

You clearly haven't witnessed my weekend undies........

Oh geez. I said ... don't change your underwear until we lose, not until they're loose.

I think the Flight Centre's last trade mag posed the question 'Kinglake - the next Rotorua ... Who knew?'

I don't remember him preaching unconditional support of the club

i don't want to labor the point, but i spent some time digging up a few posts in the past 10 minutes or so. i probably remember his thoughts on being a supporter because i had discussions with him about 'we must support'. in many ways, some of what he liked to talk about would have gone down very well on the main board and generated a lot of discussion, but he was both afraid and disdainful of other teams supporters (or barrackers, as he would say).

Really? Spending a heap of time digging up and linking old posts kind has a laboring the point vibe about it.

well... not to labor the point, but i meant 'labor the point' as in not to discuss that particular topic endlessly. looking up old posts for 10 minutes may involve some labor but it's not discussing it endlessly. i kind of hoped to just point out that he had in fact, preached endless support.

Can't help but feel the pendulum has swung a little too far in favour of Gorringe and Sumner. Some promising signs, but I'm not quite on the wagon yet...as the empty shiraz bottle in front of me is testament to.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of Gorringe at all until the second half of Brisbane.

Excited to see if he can continue to pluck those grabs this week.

I've really enjoyed gorringe's contributions the last couple of games. His first game was putrid but since then he hasn't put a foot wrong.
I actually prefer a Kreuzer Gorringe combo over a Phillips Kreuzer combo.
He's hands are quite good, much better around the ground than Phillips but we all ready carry Kreuzer for that. Phillips is a better tap ruckman and our game depends on winning clearances and locking the opposition forward so I'd pick Phillips.
