I don't think size is an issue for Silvagni at this stage it may be more running holding him back. He's not that lightly build for a young guy, plenty of lightly built tallish guys like him getting around but generally they can really run. If he's 93 KG as stated that's plenty big enough, that's heavier than Cripps. I wouldn't be surprised if Silvagni plays this week and actually goes well at that level. May not hurt to rest Walker, Bolton comes from Hawthorn who have always been kind to their veteran players and give them the odd game off every now and then. It would be the perfect time to debut Silvagni, against a lesser side with a weakened defence on the back of some really good form.

Pretty sure he's listed at 85kg and that may be overs.

But regardless, he's ready

Guess they want Jacksch to be chomping at the bit... so when he finally does get in we'll see a jacksch that we've never seen before.

Guys like Dre and Gorringe are keeping him out at the moment. Which as you say should have him fired up when he does get his chance.

Nup.

Don't really see White keeping him out, but I hope this competition for spots has KJ really fighting hard at VFL level.

I think he is. KJ could be learning the craft as third tall but White has that place now. and lets not forget Plowman.

White is playing the best he has ever played which is interesting. Guess all his coaches have loved him for a reason.

KJ has mainly been playing forward at VFL level.

That is very old news. It was first aired when he would have been selected by Carlton but for the loss of draft picks in 2002 or thereabouts.

His parents still support Carlton.

Don't know if this is true but I heard that when he was selected by St Kilda , his Mum said "Go the Blues"

No way. Source?
from * website

"It so happened the teenager was a big Carlton fan, had trained with the club as part of his AIS-AFL Academy scholarship and even stayed at the house of recruiting officer Shane O'Sullivan during that period."

"I had my eyes set on Carlton. Like any kid growing up, it was a dream to play for the team you follow and essentially I was following that path until other circumstances got in the way," he said.

That doesn't prove anything.

Nup, he's not heavier than Cripps?

Nup, the quoted weight is not heavier then Cripps?

Nup, the quoted weight is heavier than Cripps but incorrect?

Nup, the quoted weight is simply incorrect?

Nup, the quoted weight is correct but is still not heavier than Cripps?
Or...
Nup, they're actually the same weight?

You need to be more concise....

Yup

Rumour as fact. 40yearblue was right and the majority of this board were wrong.

He had the foresight to see we were going down the wrong track with Malthouse and called for us to go down the modern route (new coach, embrace the draft etc). He got howled down on this board, and I believe even stopped re-newing his membership after 40 years.

I hope that he has made peace with the club, and is enjoying seeing us head in the right direction, even if he can't make peace with the Carlton BF board.
