I would of jumped at a second-rounder for Kemp, he doesn't have the composure or ability one on one to every be a good defender.

What is stopping SOS from bidding on Ben Campo at the proposed traded '32' knowing we're committed to the family? A complete ##### act but I wouldn't put it past him.....
Stop over-rating our players like so many do here. Especially fringe players
Some think fringe players should get us top 20 picks...........
Happy to regenerate as every chance this current squad isn't constructed well enough. Lacks a lot of leg speed and skill so need to have one eye on future pre tassie coming in.Kemp and Kennedy can fill a role now, while we are in a window. Pick 25 probably can't. I'm all for the regeneration, but not losing players for very little.
We’re being told how deep the draft is, and we took Cowan at 30 two years ago and he played round 1.Kemp and Kennedy can fill a role now, while we are in a window. Pick 25 probably can't. I'm all for the regeneration, but not losing players for very little.

Most of us know by this time next year he probably isn't worth much and not a 2nd rounder.I'm a bit confused why people are going on about what Kemp is worth - it's irrelevant. He's contracted, hasn't requested a trade AND is at the very minimum very valuable depth. It needs to be significant overs to even consider it as we enter season where we need to be a contender
And we know SOS would do it.What is stopping SOS from bidding on Ben Campo at the proposed traded '32' knowing we're committed to the family? A complete ##### act but I wouldn't put it past him.....
For a Pick 17, 4 years into the system, in our best 22, and Swingman, I'd want a 1st rounder.Imo that would be fair value
If we need to do this then it's an indication of list mismanagement.we are not trading him for nothing.................it potentially would open up more for Tom De Koning to re-sign
Motlop will kick 30 IF he plays every game. Zac Williams also looked good when moved forward. Most players are fringe players early in their careers.
Unless you’re a Walsh/Daicos type, it’s rare for a player to dominate from season 1.
I’ve seen enough from Kemp ( small sample admittedly) that if persevered with and allowed to settle in one position, being 3rd tall fwd, that he will become a valuable member of the side, and a potential nightmare for the opposition to match up on.
I can see him EASILY, replacing the 30 goals that Owies kicked, with the addition of better defensive pressure.
I look at the improvement by Waterman this year, and envisage Kemp becoming that type of player for us.
He gives us so much flexibility up forward. He’s a natural lead up fwd, can take a pack mark, has some wheels and is aggressive.
I’m amazed you can’t see that.
Absolute lunacy to trade him for a pick in the 30’s
Also that pick 32 may end up 34 which will mean less points requireda pick for campo 1 at 32 requires 584 points minus the 197 point discount - so 387 points. 63, 68 and 69 cover that assuming they have moved up 5 picks through other academy and fathers son picks - which is conservative given ashcroft, kako etc will be churning up heaps of picks
therefore - its fine if he does it anyhow
Pearce was great that year. He was quick off the mark and had a lovely left foot kick on him.How many here remember Pearce in 95?
Basically came out of nowhere, complemented Sticks and The Duke perfectly.
Thats the role I see Kemp playing.
What is stopping that flog from bidding on both Campo's at the proposed traded '32'?What is stopping SOS from bidding on Ben Campo at the proposed traded '32' knowing we're committed to the family? A complete ##### act but I wouldn't put it past him.....
Kennedy and Kemp for 25 would be a really poor outcome IMO. Can't lose that much depth for an early second, especially when we don't have much depth to replace Kemp in the first place.
Losing Owies, Kennedy and if Kemp goes that's a lot of good experienced Depth out the door.Kemp and Kennedy can fill a role now, while we are in a window. Pick 25 probably can't. I'm all for the regeneration, but not losing players for very little.
