Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Cook said and Carlton knew they were signing a motivator and relationship coach, which implies Voss required to surround himself with tacticians.
It would be interesting if he has the right of veto on his crew of assistants versus the Footy Boss appointing coaches based on the needs of the collective. Either way, Voss and Lloyd have both failed.

I'm picking up a similar vibe from Voss to Bolton/Craig with Bolton not thinking he needed a mentor figure which ultimately led to Craig's departure, continued poor results and eventually losing the dressing room.

Not sure it was Bolton’s desire / actions that led to Craig’s departure - but yes, all of our coaches since then - Teague and Voss - could have significantly benefited from a director of coaching or similar that was a former experienced coach.

Problem the club had with Voss was that they were adamant that we needed an experienced coach and presented Voss as such.

wouldn't have been a good look to then appoint an overseer for him.

Intresting things happening at the club, and not in a good way. Voss and an assistant not seeing eye to eye and it got VERY heated. More than words were exchanged.

Just catching up with this, "More than words were exchanged", are you suggesting they came to blows? If so they should be both be dismissed as that's totally unacceptable in any workplace. Dont care who it is.

"One of his old teammates had a crack at both of them"

I was referencing this comment.

OK, let's clear this up!

The person in question was a teammate of Hamill, played in our last premiership, was a gun on the wing, was one of the best at getting under players skin, coached at the Crows, lives in Adelaide, has twin boys, one played in his first game for us against the Tigers, need any more clues??

Multiple sources confirming he had a 'bit to say' and he is qualified to do so, in my opinion.

Absurd if true.

I find it hard to believe. Would be beyond inappropriate as the father of a player there in that capacity.

That said, Voss wasn't particularly kind with his words about Lucas in the press conference. Lucas had some bad moments but overall tried hard and was ok for a first gamer.

As a dad that'd annoy me after so many experienced highly payed players were garbage and the coaching performance was garbage, yet Lucas was singled out.

The result on Thursday was in no way Lucas's fault. He'll probably be dropped and others will be allowed to skate by.

Voss's comments weren't super harsh and he didn't bring up lucas proactively, but I could see how they might make S Campo annoyed.

That's just horrible. This was supposed to be a special day for the family with the debut of their son and to have to go through this crap isn't acceptable.
