You're absolutely clueless if you think that a coach's service isn't honored like a players, especially a 10~ year coach.
Brad Scott lied to his staff and North Melbourne hierarchy by telling the club he was sick when a match committe meeting was called, and was caught playing golf. I don’t care, he leaves and good riddance

He left us with a typical Brad Scott coaching performance.

He tried his best to let the Dogs back into the game, by doing **** all and letting their prime movers run free.

Lucky for us supporters the players had enough ticker to get the job done without any assistance from the box.

Thanks for the service, but I think for the good of the club, the right move has been made.

What a stupid comparison. The players try their guts out week in week out, Brad Scott was out playing golf last week and skipped a match commitee meeting!! Good ******* riddance

The players tried a lot harder today than they have in recent weeks without a doubt. One would ask why? T. Goldstein made the ruck position relevant again.

28 disposals , 7 marks, 57 hit outs and put himself in harms way more times than I can remember- why's that? HAD the "team" played with this passion we'd be 8/3 and flying.

Are you implying I am not the only one that projects on a forum?

I’m just giving my thoughts whether they’re wrong or right that’s all debatable

You saying even though everyone is upset, not one player is looking forward to something different? It is not all rainbows and unicorns
I said I think YOU were projecting.

Clearly the only other way to see this situation is ‘rainbows and unicorns.’ ffs

I wish I saw more of that from brad the coach.

This is a tough caper and he's got no one to blame but himself. He got an absolutely mad run for an AFL coach. The correct decision has been made.

A brave new world awaits.

No doubt the right call was made, the funny way this world works, it’ll probably be the making of Brad Scott the coach. He’d do well at Carlton.

Mason Wood Vs Sydney five disposals zero marks one goal

Wood Vs Dogs TWENTY TWO disposals, SEVEN marks, THREE goals.

Dogs of course are a better side than Sydney. Why's Wood turned up today? Surely not because the coach has been told it's over?
Because he knows he won’t get the same unqualified support in future?

Because Brad explicitly backed him in during the week despite the crap he dished up last week?

Well, the forward line was more open and we actually kicked it to him. That's a fair start.

There's nothing wrong with our list.

Consistent effort is a huge problem the gap between our best and worst needs narrowing. Is there a thread around with a best 22 flavour as I couldn't locate one? I think now is a good time to discuss those type of matters.

How about being gracious at this point, The annoying one? Nice to see you jinx your preferred outcome in any case.

absolutely agree, it is a disgrace for North people to be bagging Brad now, he gave his all, it just didn't work out.

Cheers Brad all the best for the future except when you coach against us if you do.

This was pretty pathetic IMO. What, he can't cop people having an opinion and receiving a bit of criticism?

LMac in tears at the end was interesting, but it's funny because I think he'll be better for it in the long run. A coach with higher standards imo would turn LMac into the very good footballer we know he can be. I know the players love him, but sometimes that's not always the best thing.

His relationship with the players is one of my biggest issues with him, as I think it has led to some shocking ongoing decisions when it comes to form and selection. Maybe Brad should have been the head of development or wellness manager, and not the head coach? Or who knows, maybe if the the football department hadn't been under his complete influence and he was adequately challenged by superiors and underlings, things might have turned out differently. It will be very interesting to see what other hiring and firing occurs, because I think the power dynamics has been absolutely buggered for some time.

It did seem to me that the more he appeared to take total control of football at North, the less effective his coaching became. Definitely appeared to be different standards applied to different players. He wouldn't have liked it but a really strong GM of football could have been the best thing for Brad and the club.

Bring strong character old Scott- wonder how Joyce would go as his boss? Rhetorical question :)
