It did seem to me that the more he appeared to take total control of football at North, the less effective his coaching became. Definitely appeared to be different standards applied to different players. He wouldn't have liked it but a really strong GM of football could have been the best thing for Brad and the club.
Those senior players that have been on the journey from day dot will be understandably missing him.
Not sure the rest feel the same.

Zurhaar didn't seem to interested in giving him a bear hug, but hey foolish for outsiders to judge on that one moment.

Mason Wood Vs Sydney five disposals zero marks one goal

Wood Vs Dogs TWENTY TWO disposals, SEVEN marks, THREE goals.

Dogs of course are a better side than Sydney. Why's Wood turned up today? Surely not because the coach has been told it's over?

You sure about that? I would argue that Sydney's NEAFL side that we played last week is certainly a much harder unit than the soft underbelly that Footscray sent out today. Their most physical defender is Caleb Daniel FFS!

Look I'm all for being gracious but you can't polish a turd and unfortunately for all involved the coach received at least one extension too many, writing has been on the wall for seasons. Good luck to him it's not his fault the board kept him on as long as they did, we as members and fans have had to put up with substandard results for a long long time and it has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Let's just move on and find the person who can make this mighty club rise once again.

Whatever happens, I'm so impressed with how North Melbourne and Brad Scott have handled this. It's just admirable for all parties, and I hope this is something other clubs take notice of.

P.S I kinda love the way Brad Scott ran past David King earlier. Cannot stand David King, a total w***er of the highest order.

You are right. Foolish for outsiders to judge on that one moment.

Really happy the club had the balls to do this.

Looking forward to a fresh face and a fresh perspective. They've earned my membership money for the coming years. This club should never stand for mediocrity, and that's all Brad would ever deliver for us.

I wonder? If Brayshaw was still Chairman... would he have gone through with this?

Wat some flog in the know at Nmfc leaking it to the media ?

Classy

And don’t worry Kingy doesn’t forget the 97 Prelim and McKernans shoulder dislocation

But how does he end up in the Box communicating directly with Scotts?

Yeah, hie role changed. Some people started off in the mail room before running companies, at the end of the day past is irrelevant, it is all about results. Sadly, he is being judged for bad development which I am not sure is his fault.

I was looking at a thread I started in 2016 about Joyce and many replies mentioned Bryce Lewis (?)

Brad tearing up a little bit on the field.

Tough to see, to be honest.

Say what you will, this guy came into the club and gave it his all.

He kept us on the AFL map!

As much as people talk about him being a ‘salesman’ and a ‘media darling’ that’s exactly what our club needs!

We need someone who can sell our club and keep the media interested when the wins aren’t always there!

Unfortunately that’s the reality of our club!

To the North board: don’t f$)k up this appointment there’s too much at stake.

To Brad: thank you!!!

He runs very near David king at 3/4 time and then mentions after the game that he cleaned him up during a game and there was no comeback.
I reckon he reads the newspapers

I wonder if he attacked Kingy from behind all those years ago just like he did today. I seriously don't get all these comments about his "classy" exit when he did this. Undid a lot of the dignity that he's been credited with IMO.

Attacked him did he?

This was pretty pathetic IMO. What, he can't cop people having an opinion and receiving a bit of criticism?

LMac in tears at the end was interesting, but it's funny because I think he'll be better for it in the long run. A coach with higher standards imo would turn LMac into the very good footballer we know he can be. I know the players love him, but sometimes that's not always the best thing.

Where has this love for King come from? He's a snake. I'm completely with Scott.

You know people are talking about David King the guy who played around 240 games for NMFC, including 2 flags, in the 90's?

Were you around then? If not, look it up - you might learn something.

They're the same person? What are you on about.

Correct.

I've never heard King say anything personal about Brad.

Brads just upset the gravy train has ended, I think it's been underplayed a bit, bit of a disgrace he thinks the "media" are responsible for this by the looks of things...

You don’t read the Herald Sun I take it? More of The Age type are we?

This is what he said...now if I had been somewhere for 10 years and someone called me a Visitor I would have the brazen bits as well...

“King has been highly critical of Scott in recent seasons. In one pointed Herald Sun column last month that raised Scott’s ire, he suggested the coach was “a visitor” to Arden Street, and questioned whether he was a good fit to lead the club as it reshaped its playing list.“
