Excellent hard fought win yesterday,
but .... "Kelli Underwood" was annoying as hell during the entire game.
She was atrocious and the rest of the Fox commentary weren’t much better.
Her soccer goal comment plus the free kick for an errant handball in the square were interesting …….

Can someone explain the logic of the questioning around the "Close" tackle. .

Free kick... was questionable ... let alone talk on suspension. If that tackle is worth a suspension .. are we heading down the track of no tackles..?
There was no questioning around the tackle until Underwood spoke about it.

Ceglar was one of our best.[/

Turn it up. Ceglar wasn’t in our best 10 players, nor was he close to being in the best 20 players on the ground.

He’s our 5th choice ruckman behind Stanley Blicavs DeKoning and Conway. The fact he’s playing just highlights that we’ve broken the emergency glass. Full credit for the way the coaches used him, but also made sure they hid him outside of competing in ruck contests. Provided no link up in passages of play, and it was obvious the players had been told not to use him. Duncan did in the last quarter and it very near cost a goal that would’ve got the Crows within a kick.

Good on him for getting a game and competing but please don’t wallpaper over his significant shortcomings by suggesting he was in our best.

For me the most important part was the continued development of Dempsey and Knevitt. Both were involved in a lot of play and made valuable contributions. Although both will likely get squeezed out of the side when more senior players come back from injury, but giving them meaningful game time now (ie, not taking off the green vest half-way through the last quarter of a ten goal win) is a good investment into their development.
Woman commentator was deplorable. Simply does not have the voice to be doing AFL commentary.
It's not her voice or her being a woman that bothers me. It's that her opinions are stupid, and her observations are either obvious or wrong.

Spot on. Although I find her voice awful, it’s her observations and opinions that are deplorable. She can’t read the game at all.

He didn't even try which most likely was instructions to get him through a full 4 quarters.
Agree. I suspect they want to sub him out at 3 qtr time but injury changed plans so just had to manage him for rest of game.

Will be same plan for next week

Probably our best win for the season under the circumstances, especially after losing Dangerfield for half the match.
Thought Close was down and Miers played possibly his worst game for the year, yet we still managed twenty four scoring shots to their seventeen, so was really a more dominant game then the scoreboard indicated.

Really liking the look of Knevitt, think he's a keeper for sure.

Just caught the replay, solid win, really solid. Crows were good, but we had them covered all day really. 14.14 so could’ve won by more, but the pleasing thing is we beat a pretty good outfit with many premiership players out, the young blokes showed quite a lot.

Dangerfield injury not ideal, but it is what it is. I do find it quite amusing among oppo fans, all they’re caring about is the non call on Keays, cry me a river, also cry me a river whenever we win at home. “It’s a cheat ground, biggest advantage in the AFL”. What a wank.

The umpires in our game didn't support the AFL position on tackling in my opinion there were ample opportunities for them to blow the whistle and pay a holding the ball decision Saturday and enforce the idea you don't have to kill or maim you opponent to be rewarded and they failed miserably.

Did they receive a bit more attention during the game? Not surprising if that were the case ( you don’t often catch that stuff on the tv broadcast) The fact that they are high on our goal assists would have to ultimately invite more attention.

PS didn't actually answer your question as there is no logic in any call for suspension

I truly believe that we can go "Back 2 Back"
"Our best is 'the BEST' in the competition" and we havent even been full strength all year.
letting danger have a spell could be good for him like last year.

These are the same people who thought Stewarts handball was deliberate. Special bunch.
