1 mark v Carlton ,2 v Melb
I think we’re forgetting that last year Stanley had a shocking eye fracture that affect his vision and he took a long time to come back. It’s highly possible that affects his marking. It might be a stat beyond his control & until Conway is ready for a full season we’re going to need Stanley.

Maybe a visit to the same people that made goggles for Cox:p

- forward line pressure non existent, Dees rolled out of defence far too easily. Mids just rolled in the sand and the poor defence struggled.

This was the only thing on the night that really concerned me.

Fumbling in the dewy conditions, not being competitive in some marking contests around the ground, some quieter players - that happens and I think it was an off night.

But Melbourne strolled it out of D50 with real ease. When watching I thought we really need Rohan on earlier and we needed him in the forward line.

Stanley was ok I thought against a genuinely great opponent.
If I had a comment re this I would suggest Stanley was told to make sure Gawn couldn't take easy field marks, the problem was our defenders kept looking for him and it meant they kicked it straight to Gawn - and Stanley will never outmark Gawn
