Getting that close makes it hurt when it really shouldn't have.

I didn't see the first half. But if we're playing a run and gun game we should probably pull out those who can't run and gun. No one is bigger than the club.

Mullin was mostly excellent after coming on. A lot of promise and a lot to work with.

Stengle fantastic as he has been all year.

Worried for Hawkins. I don't think this is rest related. I think the cliff has come and it's come quickly. The proof will be in the pudding once he comes back after his rest.

Not sure what we do about the ruck. Conway is injury prone and very unfit. Stanley has been taken to the cleaners too often. I understand keeping Stanley on as Conway clearly isn't up to even 20 AFL games in a season, but we're bereft of options at the moment unless Neale can play full time ruck. It might be our best option.

Awful first half, insipid up until the Stanley sub.

Zuthrie, Stengle, Atkins, Mullin once he was on were great, Kola was pretty assured again our medium/tall forwards delivered little, although Hawk broke his drought. Club will cop a fine for Cameron’s double head knocks.

Our smalls are carrying the forward line, our midfield is desperately missing Danger, Bruhn.

Team is being too cute with our ins/outs, and we need to get some games into some other players like Mannagh and Knevitt.

Henry although was better than last week and SDK really need to work on bodying their opponents and contesting the ball. Too many contested marks are taken in our defensive 50 that have no right to be taken.

We are screaming out for a small defender.

7-2, feeling a bit meh now.

We are mastering the art of having our backs and forwards getting more of the pill than our mids.

You gotta go down to our 8th players in the disposals column before you find a mid.

Atkins, with 16 touches, was our leading midfield possession-getter.

Now I know it's not all about numbers... but that is bordering on a disgrace.

Arrogance at selection. Port with a good midfield and Bowes is rested for a game next week and we throw away 4 points this weekend.

This should be Stanley's last game for the club.

Lastly, catempire never ever @ me again about Parfitt. Papers are stamped. VFL player.

Parfitt - 10 tackles, 5 clearances, 3 score involvements & a goal assist

He may not be your favourite, but he's playing the role the coaches want from him - we'll see him plenty this season

It seems like coach and players didn't respect Port much at all.

Clawed back 49 but didn't win the chook.
At least gave the crowd a reason to get up, but frankly we were so damn slow, stupid errors and two of the old school found out big time.
I like Atkins, but needs to reel it in a bit, costly mistakes- with others of course.
Okay Port were good, and umpiring was inconsistent and lazy at key moments.
Selection need to do better, time to change it up, no matter how brave the fightback.

Not gonna win many going 49 points down.

On Mullin, if/when he goes back to VFL he needs to be played permanently on ball. He's got the apetite for the contest and can be better than just a lockdown defender. You can see why they want to fast-track his development after tonight.
Learning curve is encouraging. MOc was very tentative over the journey. I thought he would develop more quickly given his skills in the Irish game.
It would be good to see Mullin really allowed to show some chops. Seems like a more confident character.
