Out Evans Burgoyne
In McEntee JHF

Evans is a sanfl player. McEntee is more or less useless but at least he has AFL pace if nothing else.

Burgoyne was ok today but still is an abhorrent kick and I see him as a depth player going forward.

Jones and Burton were trash today but are useful for team balance and would rather see if they can find form playing AFL.

Evans won some good contests, and his goal was clinical. It was the first time he's shown some form this year. I still think there's something to work with there and I'd personally rather invest a bunch of games into him than McEntee, but I'm convinced the coaches will bring McEntee back in.

Burton should be dropped. You can't pull out that sort of performance and not be dropped. It was disgusting. Williams must get a shot.

Not sure about Jones, might be dropped on the back of the injury, but Burtons bad performance was so glaring, he almost survives on the back of that.

We need more games into Mead and Burgoyne, yeah they aren't shooting the lights out, but for our depth and hence future chances at success, we need them to continue to be exposed. Burgoyne did so many nervous rookie things, that only goes with time and confidence. Mead is growing, but also needs more time and confidence.

Finlayson kicked straight for a change, gotta reward that.

Ratagolea is the other concern at the moment IMO but he'll get more time before being dropped. Would love McKenzie back there with Aliir and BZT at the moment.

I'm also not convinced about Soldo, but his last half was a significant improvement.

Can't bloody wait to see McEntee back out there, all those goals our smalls kept kicking today kept letting the ball get back to the centre instead of locking it inside 50, it was disastrous for our gameplan. fukcin pumped

As much as i'd like to see Deadly Jedly come straight back in I think Frank should be given a few more games to see what he's got rather than being a yo-yo selection each week.

Out: Jones, Mead
In: Williams, JHF (if fit)

Wouldn’t be overly against trying out Anastasopoulos to see how he goes. Or Scully.

Evans with 4 tackles topped McEntee's averages of last season 2.6 tackles.

So even when it comes to defensive pressure, Evans has him covered
None of this matters. McEntee doesn't need to be effective offensively to be picked. McEntee doesn't need to be effective defensively to get picked. He just gets picked, every week, from now until the day Ken retires.

After playing his 350th this week, Boak is gonna mark another milestone in this game by becoming the PAFC AFL games played record holder.

Finlayson was slightly better than last week, especially in the 2nd half. Still a worry for me but given we don't want to risk Charlie in the ruck it gives us little option but to play him.

I might be in the minority here in saying this but Dixon isn't our avenue to winning a flag and I personally think Sweet and MG maybe a better combo than Dixon/Finlayson. This change isn't needed against Demons but I think we should try it at some stage.

While everyone is debating between McEntee and Evans, I think it's a relatively moot point after next 2 weeks when we get SPP back. For the time being I prefer McEntee's leg speed.

But the change we NEED to make for the game v Demons is Burton for Williams and perhaps, if fit, Sinn for Jones. JHF for Burgoyne too if JHF comes up but doubt it.

Win this and there is a fair chance Port go into the Collingwood game in round 6 undefeated….

Huge test for the midfield and new defence, but without May and possibly Lever, Port’s forwards likely have the edge against Melbourne’s defence. (Any news on Lever?)

Soldo is a massive upgrade for Port and the backline looked more gelled against Richmond. However, quick turnover ball or it coming straight out of the middle will be hard to stop.

And can someone tell me why Port Adelaide can never adjust game plans on the run? It’s always at half time, if at all.

Just a reminder, Evans is younger than McEntee.

He's 6 months younger lol. Also spent 1.5 years extra in the professional system which would make more impact than 6 months age. Also spent 3 years under a GOAT coach where he theoretically should've been taught a lot better than McEntee has been.
