Interesting to hear on 6pr this morning that Barlow is fully aware about the 'talk' about his poor disposal. He seemed very defensive and touchy on the subject, mentioning that he's on the edge each week thinking he'll get dropped.

Heard this also. It's human nature to get defensive when under attack. I'm sure he knows as well as anyone what he has to do and mentioned he'd back himself and the people around him to come good so don't think he's brushing it off.

Wouldn't be very easy being critiqued live to thousands of people.

We are talking 6pr here MadDocker - it was only you and Ragtooth.

Yeah I know the blaphamy, but I only listen to the Pillars of football segment on Wednesday and Thursday (Peter Bell and Barlow), then switch back quickly to 91.3Sport FM

Could potentially be three changes:

Lyon: There will be some changes, there’s one injury and maybe some other changes #foreverfreo

Lyon: The reports were quite positive, it’s good signs - on A.Pearce and Smith at @PeelThunderFC on the weekend #foreverfreo

You start talking Smith and people on here think that you are crazy. What is crazy? Not kicking anywhere near enough goals and bringing in an inexperienced goal kicker. Or continuing on in the same way and expecting different results?

Smith is not ready to be a better option than Taberner or Pav ATM from what I have seen in the WAFL. AP however spent only part of that game against East Fremantle up forward (versus Smith the whole game) and was very good. I would consider being radical and bringing AP and 211 and dropping both Clarke and Griffin.

For those who are interested

Those calling for Smith's inclusion must not of seen his game for Peel.

Sure he kicked four goals, but he didn't look like a key forward in the process. Two were round the body snaps after running himself into trouble, KPF's are punished for those decisions in the AFL. He barely took a mark on the lead, his running patterns weren't great and decision making in general play left a lot to be desired.

I've seen both Tabs and Tanner at Peel level a fair bit and Taberner is the far superior player, that reflects poorly on our KPF stocks but it's the truth.

Alex Pearce on the other hand looked fantastic. It was by swinging him forward that Peel managed to seal the victory. He looked fit and ready to go, I expect him to be included in the 22 this afternoon.

Probably also reflects poorly on our development capabilities. I mean FFS Taberner has been in the system a while now, and he hasn't improved much. Had a couple of good games, but a lot of meh ones.

Not everyone has what it takes. Development of skills is not linear. Talls generally take longer. He was a rookie pick. Etc.

I think it's a credit to our development that he's even as good as he is, considering what they're working with.

Under some of our past regimes he would've reached the dizzying heights of the likes of Brendon Feddema.

what does everyone think the chances of AP playing this week are? would love for him MJ and Sandi to come in, would like to see Weller keep his spot as well, felt he was a bit of a shining light in an otherwise unbearable game last week. i know Clarke is out, C Pearce will surely have to be dropped as well based on last weeks performance.

Going on our past selection policies, I would say that A Pearce is little chance of selection this week. This is purely on the basis that he missed more pre-season than anyone else. When he comes back in (possibly next week or the week after) he will stay in as he is best 22. Clancee is an out for Johnson for sure. I am hoping we can find a position for Langdon (with the exception of replacing Weller).

Yep Angus we are on a highway to hell. Translated King is the king of dicks.

used to really like King up until last season, now i just think he is one of the biggest bandwagoners going around, had written our season off prior to our first game last year, and then was completely infatuated with the team as we went through the first few rounds unbeaten. No credibility what so ever, would love for to come out firing these next few rounds and watch him back peddle in his assessment of our team for the second year in a row...
