I would have preferred to bring in a Hampton or Menzel for Gov however I'll back Pykey in

Looking at Geelong's backline they are quite tall so maybe this structure might work, Bews will go to Betts, Knight the defensive job on the ZT and apart from that they don't have to much pace coming out of defence

They are more of an intercept marking team so we will need Otten to compete in the air

Agree.

Just as well Cats have gone even taller, otherwise I would be more worried about our selection.
True that. Hopefully we get the luxury to use him as a swingman, that means we are winning, but I am not a fan of the selection, as are quite a few of us.

Otten, not good at all. Really unfortunate our worst team for the year is in the prelim. Hope we win. Just start the game already, the "will dangerfield play forward" shit is becoming mind numbing.

Conversely our guys are collectively poor marks, we could've got the ball to ground level and won it with faster smalls.

Terrible selection. The only thing Otten has in common with McGovern as a forward is that he's tall. If we do win god help us if McGovern doesn't come up for next week. Richmond or GWS will run all over us. Such a typical safe Crows decision
Great point, though we need to win this week first.

Certainly need an additional runner next week if we make it.

Expected to see Otten in but I'm a little bit disappointed at how "safe" it is. Surprised Geelong retained Stanley but at least that evens things up a bit. If anything, I'm more relieved that Thor is in at this stage.

I think Otto will have a pretty solid game. He generally plays well first game up.

They don't want to change the structure and it is our structure and method that is our strength. There won't be any changes implemented by Pykey that he dreamed about at 3am in the morning.

Although like Blighty his ethos is very much about scoring. And Otto can kick goals.

Love the selection here,.. if you hunt back through the forum - this is what I called for :)

Brining in Sloane was obviously a no-brainer,. but Otten for McGovern is just smart. Maintains our structure, means we aren't shuffling guys from position to position to create some kind of new dynamic,. and Otten offers true versitility if we are being beaten down back or need another option up forward. Smart play crows.

We've got this.. Come on!!!

Would be more worried if he was coming in as a defender. Is a better forward these days . Can take nice grabs

Please this is not our worse team of the year

Massive over reaction
