Nah Berry needs to find his 2022 form again in the SANFL....McHenry is in good form 21 disposals and 2 goals against Port in the SANFL and then in the bests against Freo last week and did nothing wrong tonight that suggests Berry gets picked before him.
I get it, I don’t like making players the sub two weeks in a row though

Also was Berry’s poor form down to that calf? Seemed in good nick over the preseason

I would go unchanged.

Reading a few posts about Tex being rested. I suggest that's a bad idea. Tex body feels good and he is moving well. Resting players has always felt arrogant to me and as bad as Hawthorn is, we are yet to prove we can rely on a non Tex forward line. Maybe I'd say rest through subbing him in the third quarter of the game is virtually beyond doubt. McAdam should play a SANFL game

I just think they are gonna rest/manage Tex for 1 or 2 games this season so they might as well make those the games at tough grounds..

optus in Perth is one.. and also has the added issue of a longer plane flight..

Tassie is another as you‘d bet that it’s more than likely gonna be sub antarctic conditions.. not good for old players!

Docklands is apparently another ground that like Optus in Perth is renowned as a hard ground that is taxing on the body.

Tex should play every game at AO.. but be selectively rested for games like the next one.

Can Benny boi stay in for another week?
Well..

the law of averages says that Benny boi plays about one good game out of every 4-6..

so really… he should be dropped because he’s probably gonna be shit again next week!.

but I’m happy to let him stay in for another week.

gonna be interesting when Mcadam is due to come back in who’s gonna drop out.

we simply can’t have Mcadam playing SANFL.. he’s far too valuable a player and provides a real point of difference in our forward line as a bloke that can consistently take a screamer, leads well, tackles hard, has real x-factor and normally always converts in front of the big sticks.

The only reason there aren't more people mentioning him here is because it was nearly impossible to notice he was out there and they just assumed he didn't play.

He had a shocking game tonight, but you don't just drop a young building player after 1 bad game ffs... Last week he had 21 posessions and kicked 2 goals.

What we need to do is rush in a 28 yo 10 possession 1 game a goal player that hasn’t played on a month even though we have won 3 in a row

But in same breath I don’t believe in mediocrity like the indoctrinated and we should play the kids

Rest Tex.

We showed we were smart not taking him to Perth in the preseason. The time to rest tex isn't when he is visibly showing signs of needing rest. Its to be proactive and keep him fresh.

I would do the following:

Out: Murphy/Tex/Ned
In: Gollant/McAdam/Murphy(sub)

What they will likely do:

Unchanged.
He did however managed to kick 3 goals against West Coast from 4000kms away, the blokes a legend! :p

Haha wow. This was the post he mentioned was him giving credit. Subtly implying to rush back in a fringe player off a massive suspension. Really irks me when fans have vendettas against their own players. Why can’t you appreciate them?

Why did Brisbane delist him?.. have you ever asked yourself this or have you ever sent emails to your own club questioning why they dumped him and didn’t even bother trying to get a single drop of compensation for him in a trade.

seriously.. it’s just hilarious that you pop your dumb fxxkn head up in here to have a go at me every time Ben has his 1 good game in 4-6.. rest of the time we don’t hear from you.

you’re just like the Ben keays fan club in here that on Brownlow night last year when Ben was leading after R6 could help themselves and started tagging me into their comments and frothing thinking that Ben was about to win the Brownlow!.. only for Ben to not even get another vote for the rest of the remaining rounds!

it was totally and utterly fxxkn embarrassing for them. Made them all look like complete dicks. But not one of them had the courage to apologise for their premature ejaculation and for attempting stick it to me tagging me into their little love fest over ben “R6 Brownlow winner” Keays!.

Sure, ben played well last night.. but Ben needs to bring that game on a more consistent basis if he wants to hold his spot long term.

1 good game in every 4-6 ain’t good enough.
