Its round 6. He has played the first 5 rounds. We are more than 20% through the season.

Rest him 3 weeks. Week 6 in Tassie, Week 12 at Tio, Week 18 at Gabba.

If we have made the finals - then happily rest him week 23 as well.
is there still the week off between the minor rounds and the start of the finals?.. if yes, there no need to rest him for week 23..

but that’s a long way off at this point!..

We were 3-3 from 6 games last year and then proceeded to fall in a heap.

we are 3-2 from 5… anything could happen from here!

its the Optus in Perth and Docklands stadium‘s that are notoriously hard on players bodies.. something about the subsurface being more solid than most grounds.

Could be wrong as I’ve actually never been to Docklands but.. I think Docklands may even be on top of an underground car park or something so it’s not on natural earth..

Matt Crouch for Soligo. Just for his experience

Playing the hawks in Tassie is like the bulldogs in Ballarat. Its a horrible place where the conditions are terrible no matter what, 23 and sunny is a disaster still.
You need guys like Tex and Sloane out there just to keep it steady.
I'm assuming this is a parody.

Sooooooo, do we need to make a change to that team? I'm certainly not gunning to pull the trigger anywhere.

I'm not dropping Soli, he's earned himself plenty of credits in the bank for me. I'm also not bringing back Berry until he's had a block in the 2's to get back into form.

With the exception of Tex maybe taking a rest game, i'm going in unchanged.

Hawks are our bogey team and have out-coached us pretty much in every game.

You could see in the 3rd quarter against the blues how they were using the 'old' tactic against the Crows - have a couple of loose players drop into the holes in defence and our forward 50 entries seem to pin point pass to those players. Geelong at Geelong and any game against the Hawks were examples of how teams use to beat us (2017ish.)

Changes? NFI - but we need a plan B. Once teams study how we play and put into place plans to nullify our game plan. Up until now we have been so sh!te that teams didn't need to do that! Don Pike was famous for 'trusting our system' even when teams had clearly worked it out. I think this is where we find out how good a coach Nicks is.

Actually incorrect, got another 2 against Carlton as a forward in round 20 but go on.

You're entitled to your opinion and thats fine but I just find it weird when fans campaign against their own players. And you are one of many I've noticed that get hung up on the whole delisting thing, its a weird prejudice and if you knew anything about the guy he was an end of first round draft pick and never got a chance at the Lions in his preferred position.

One good game every 4-6 is another long bow too. Been solid this year apart from that shocker against Richmond. And not to mention the BnF finishes etc etc but anyway, will pop my head in again soon
What’s his preferred position?

Why would you try and use this as a put down?
As far as I BC hasn’t lived in SA for a long time.
You wouldn't understand looking from the inside. Doesn't matter if you're not living there, genes do not change.

Of course not all South Australians behave like this, but quotes like the ones I highlighted are a fairly good indicator someone is South Australian.

Obvious change: the venue!

The most watchable team in the league shouldn't be playing in Tassie and Geelong over a three week period.
How much bigger would the crowd be at AO than in Tassie? AFL must step in and move it.

No need to change anything at the moment, Attack functioning as good as ever, Defence getting better weekly, and the midfield was as good as it's been in yonks, Also really good to see the form of Sloane and Milera, It was always gonna take time with their injury layoffs, Midfield and defence better with them their, Both top decision makers with ball in hand.

I think changes this week revolve around our strength & conditioning department. We've now enough depth that if anyone needs a rest they can afford it (particularly Tex). Otherwise unchanged. I'd be keeping McHenry as sub over Berry as I think Berry will benefit from the full SANFL game to build form.

Players that are available for selection next game:
McAdam
Worrell
Berry
Parnell
Gollant
Schoenberg

The players with the best chance of playing are McAdam, Worrell imo. If the club thinks we are a good chance to make finals they need to be resting some players when they need it to make sure we are fresh for finals and not just making up the numbers.

Worrell has been out for weeks and won’t be up for AFL selection straight away. He will play Sanfl for at least a fortnight barring injury - maybe longer. There is no one to drop down there at the moment

Assuming Tex doesn’t have a significant niggle I think leave him in - we need to bank some wins if we hope to play finals and we have a terrible record against the Hawks

Get the win/loss in better shape and then worry about rests
